I went all natural within the last year, but I wasn't educated on caring for my natural hair. So I when to Harmoni and Lia (stylist) knocked my kinks straight! My nappy hair was blowing in the wind when I left the salon. Harmoni salon is a place I would recommend to anyone with any type of hair. more

Lisa is the first stylist I have been to that can handle my texture issues and give me the look I want. She takes her time to find out what my wants and needs are each time she does my hair. I love the way she keeps my look updated and fresh while listening to my my expectations. I highly recomend Lisa as a stylist. more

I just returned from my 3rd visit to Harmoni Salon since moving to San Antonio in June and my hair has never looked better. After years of growing out my curly locks, I finally found a stylist, Sharon, with whom I trusted cutting them off. I love my new short 'do and I would trust Sharon with my hair any day. I have never had Monica cut my hair, but she is always really friendly whenever I come in and her and Sharon always make me feel welcome. If you have any questions, these ladies know a LOT about hair so don't be shy. I love Harmoni! more

I spent six years without getting my hair cut because most stylists butchered my naturally curly hair and made me look goofy.\r \r Now I go to Harmoni Salon. I'm really impressed with Sharon. She created a new custom cut just for me, working through my nebulous goals to do it. When I came back the second time, I noticed that she had also taken extensive notes to be able to recreate the cut for me. It's a very relaxed, yet professional, and also skilled salon. I am absolutely in love with Harmoni Salon!! I recently moved to San Antonio and was very disappointed in the first two salons I tried. One of my friends told me about Harmoni and I've been hooked ever since! Great atmosphere. Natural and healthy products. The staff is the sweetest ever!!! They are also soooo knowledgeable. I love it! I went to Monica. I won't go to anyone else. She is AMAZING!! I made my two daughters appointments and they love it also. My youngest doesn't want to go to anyone else but Sharon!!!! My stylist, Sharon, was very welcoming and professional. She did a wonderful job with my haircut and has helped bring my curls back to life again. She gave me some great advice on how to take better care of my hair. She worked on my hair for over 3 1/2 hours, and I'm so grateful to her for the extra time and effort she put in to make sure that everything was perfect and that I was happy. I will definitely be back very soon! more

Monica is the best in the business. I have natural hair and have been trying to find a stylist that cares just as much about the health of my hair. I found it in Monica. My daughter also has natural hair. However, her hair was damaged by a PREVIOUS stylist. With the help of Monica and her great choice of products we have been able to weather the hair damage storm. The salon is EXTREMELY pleasant and relaxing! Give this salon a try...trust me you will be back! more

Love the atmosphere. I have been searching for a salon that would be great not only for myself, but my daughter as well. She has ethnically diverse hair which can be challenging to handle. I felt completely confident with Monica's abilities after our first appointment. Monica cares about the health of your hair. I have researched healthy hair care and Monica's salon follows all the basics. She uses all natural organic products. No mineral oil,petroleum,sulfates or parabens. Steam=healthy hair, and Monica's salon offers steam treatments. It can be challenging to find a salon in the North Central area that has the knowledge to care for African American hair properly. I am so happy I found Harmoni Salon!! more

Monica has done a great job helping me as I transition to longer hair. She puts a huge emphasis on healthy hair. She let me know from the beginning what would work best for me, but I did not feel pressured to stick to that regimen. That was very empowering. My daughter will go for her first appointment tomorrow! more

I just had my 2nd visit at Harmoni Salon today and I have to say I've never had a better hair cut-Sharon did a wonderful job! She was very patient, listened to what I wanted my hair to look like and didn't start the cut until she was positive she and I were on the same page. My hair looks great and I can honestly say this is the best haircut I've ever had. Sharon explained everything that she was doing and described the products she was using. The organic products they use are amazing-my hair is so soft and my curls are smooth! more

I had been looking for a place to get my hair cut. I'd tried numerous salons, and more often than not, ended up disappointed. Then I decided to try Harmoni Salon, and found out why. The stylist that cut my hair, Sharon, was probably one of the most friendly and informative hair stylists I've ever met. I found out through talking with her, that I had pretty much been taking care of my hair incorrectly for as long as I can remember. And it wasn't like some salons, where they try to shove their products down your throat as a solution to all your hair needs, in fact, most of her advice wasn't even about products, it was about things to do in general. It was a really refreshing change from previous salons I'd been to. The price was pretty standard for a men's cut at a salon, cheaper than a few places I had tried. The staff was super friendly, and they gave me a glass of water while I waited. All in all, probably one of if not the best haircut experience of my life, I definitely reccomend giving them a try, more

After moving here in August I searched and search for a salon dedicated to restoring and maintaining natural hair styles. I fell in LOVE with Harmoni! From the moment you walk in the door you are greeted like you've been a customer there for years. Monica did an excellent job on my hair on my first visit. Explained the process and what I needed to do at home to keep my hair from breaking. I appreciated the step by step process and how to information that she gave me. I moved to San Antonio a few years ago from the east coast. I have been wearing my hair natural for two years without straightening it out. Discovered the salon thorough the Natural Hair Meetup group, and made an appointment. The salon is very upscale and the atmosphere is inviting. My hair stylist was Lia. I NEVER thought I would be the person to go ""natural curly."" I am still in the transitional stage, I have about 2 inches remaining of relaxed hair, and I will be 100% nautural. During this process, I have been going to Monica, she has maintained my hair, kept it healthy and strong-all during my pregnancy with my son. I am new to San Antonio and have very thick curly hair. Over the past 20 years, I have trust exactly 2 people to cut my hair, but they are more than 1000 miles away. Needless to say, I was very apprehensive about going to someone new. I read great reviews about Harmony Salon and Monica in particular, so I decided to give her a chance going for both a cut and color. She was very patient with me and my nerves. We talked at length about what I wanted. The cut was awesome! She completely understands curly hair and what it does at different lengths. I also had her color my roots and do some low lights. It was exactly the color I wanted, but it ended up being too dark around my face. I went back the next day and she completely agreed with what I saw. She had time and fixed it right then and there, no charge. I then received follow up calls asking if I was happy and completely satisfied with my hair. I am so happy I found my stylist in SA and on the first time out!! more

Sharon at Harmoni Salon has officially became our family's stylist! Which, as many know is a not an easy task. She was so friendly & I really appreciated her attention to detail as she gave my boys the EXACT cut & style we had in mind ((woohoo!)). Although it was a tad past the closing hour, Sharon still took the time to explain the different types of hair textures my family has and even went over the HOW TO's on the amazing vegan organic products she had used on the boys!! What more can I say that has not already been said. What a truly wonderful experience. The receptionist is friendly and polite. The atmosphere is clean, relaxing, and upscale. The location is easily accessible to both 281 and 1604. The stylist is very knowledgable, professional, and prompt. Two thumbs up and 5 stars-- more

I usually don't write reviews but since the reviews I found led me to the salon I guess I can help out.(Not to mention it's part of the loyalty program). Like everyone else on here said the receptionist Amy was nice she loved offering water or tea lol. I filled out a survey on my hair then I was greeted by Monica. She washed my hair VERY good, conditioned it then we walked back to the chair.She was very knowledgable on hair health which was a plus for me. However, she didn't attempt to build a rapport with me. I have my hair in a short natural (tight coily hair) and I wanted a nice flat iron I was scared because I heard stories about it affecting my curls or burning my hair and I explained that to her, she said she does hair like mine often. She said my ends were broken and suggested I add a cut. The price went from $45 for the flat iron to $70, I was fine with that until I looked at her prices online after which shows she charged me $10 more than other people when my hair is only 3 inch long. The flat irons burned my scalp along my hairline but my hair was so broken along the edges due to me pulling it back, I know she was only trying to get a good grip on the flat irons, and get to the roots ;-). I walked out VERY SATISFIED with my hairstyle. It looked way healthier than when I walked in. I had a friends birthday to go to after and my hair was nice and soft. I purchased some products and booked another appointment with her also made one for my sister who also loved her hair after!! my only suggestion would be that they would book more time for each client, or allow Monica a break in between. I Love that she is professional and BLACK and runs a good business in a nice area and works with ALL hair types. Okay, I think I said enough. I recommend her to anyone with any hair type. I was very skeptical of whether she could do my hair and she proved me wrong :) Go see her TODAY!!!! more
