I can't afford to be without my computer for a week while it is sitting on the shelf there waiting for them to look at it. There are online services that remotely access your computer and can tell you if it is a hardware or software problem. Maybe they could make an appointment and call you when it is getting close to your turn but that isn't their policy. more

You can find much better custom computer retailer online. I would definately recommend getting a custom built computer, since they are much better than Dell or Gateway. For those that want to, but don't want to way through the options online or feel the need to talk to a person face to face, then this is a good outfit. You don't get to see examples of the system really, but they are pretty fast at building your machine. Like I said...there are other companies online with better rep and no sales tax! more

When you first go into hard drives northwest its like going into a car dealership.. You see a few computers on pedestals and you see a lot of desks with sales people dressed in suits! You find one who isn't doing anything and they ask how they can help you.. They take your order you pay for it then its sent to the back room, and you go to the pick up area to get your equipment. It is very odd as you cannot see much of anything because there's no stock out in the show room floor. I would say its probably more for people who either don't know exactly what they want or more for people who like to feel like they are buying a car rather than a computer. Not necessarily bad just different. Their prices are a bit higher, but they usually price match local prices.. more
