NEVER RENT HERE!!!!!!!!!! Worst place ever!! They charge fake charges, never fix anything, old ran down appliances, not new they lie and tell you your getting new, they show you a model with new everything to only move into a mess of an apartment. Terrible so glad to have moved out!! more

I happened to move here because it was close to my last home and my work. I moved in October of last year. Since then this place has really gone down hill. I can't even go outside after dark. I feel like I live in an inner city drug infested combat zone. New owner, three new managers and it keeps getting worse. I hope that I can live out my lease. more

I've read a lot of bad comments on this place and while I do see some of it, I haven't had most of the problems like sh***y management issues or bugs. I spray the apt and porch with multi-bug killer once a month out of paranoia and haven't had a problem. They will spray for you if you ask, I just like to do it myself tho. I have lived here nearly a year and resigned my lease without remorse. For me, it's for the most part quiet. The walls/ceilings (I live on a bottom floor) are a little thin, but my upstairs neighbors are also ***holes. Management has been very good to me and they have fixed my problems with the toilet or a/c pretty quickly. Sometimes the dryers are down--sometimes for couple days at a stretch. That's f'in sh**ty when you have to carry a load down there. However I've never had my clothes stolen in either of the laundry rooms so at least people seem to be really good about that. Also there's only one dumpster toward the back end of the complex. Parking isn't the greatest if you live in the courtyard areas, but the privacy mostly makes up for that. They're pet friendly (tho a hefty non-refundable deposit), there's a nice lake, the pool is right in front of the office, and it's close to gas stations, schools, grocery stores and pretty much any fast food place. Wal-Mart, etc, and the mall are close by too. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. It is an older complex but I do like it a lot and there are lots of layouts, screened in porches, plus it's all income based which helps since I'm not making much right now. I give it a 4 because of the convieniance to lots of places, the income based rent, and I really don't mind living here until can buy a house. I haven't had any major problems here besides my car radio was stolen (my car was a POS and the door didn't lock, nothing was actually broken), and I haven't seen the cops at all. Neighbors are a mixed batch of every race + lots of elderly too. For the most part everyone is friendly. This apartment complex is the filthiest, and nastiest complex in pinellas county. I lived here for exactly a month and a week and found that my apartment was infested with BLACK MOLD. I repeatedly told the property manager who is extremely rude, that I had a problem, and it was NOT taken care of. In fact, I was accused of lying, and was told there was no mold whatsoever. I do not think any one should move into this complex until it is taken care of. Pros: Pool Cons: EVERYTHING! more

I have live in this complex if you want to call it that...I had moved in and thee fist months rent and th people in the office was VERY nice until i found out why.....I moved in in March paid the first month rent and the sec..and i paid the prossing fee...altogethr it came out to 1,600 dollars...the next month i paid the rent ....then i got called down to the office ..and to my surprise i was told that the people in the office they had no record of me paying any of the money...and i had 2 weeks to come up with the 1,600.00 well come to find out the person who was running the place took the money and left..around 30 or more people were evicted...reason why they didn't have the proof that they paid it...when you paid the rent they will tell you don't worry about the reciept cause we have it on file...what a load of sh*t...so i moved out within 4 months Pros: Nice neighbors Cons: everything else more

I have lived at Shadow Run for a little over a year and have had numerous problems with the appliances and the roof. This is an old complex so everything in it, on it, and around it is old and falling apart. The manager is VERY rude. I would not recommend anyone living here. The rent is too high for the quality of apartment you get. Pros: They allow pets Cons: Everything else! more

I am just disgusted with the actions concerning this apartment complex. My daughter lives in this complex and has had a really bad experience. It seems as tho she is not the only one who has had a bad experience. This place has the rudest managers I have ever witnessed in my life. I also know the reason they are so rude is because a former manager took a lot of money paid to the complex in cash by a lot of the residents. now to save face they are trying to make these residents repay their rent and water. It is common knowledge, A resident can not pay their rent with out paying the water first. It is a puzzlement to me how a person can suposely own one months rent yet own for several months water. There is truely something fishy in Demark. more
