I moved to South Bay almost 2 1/2 years ago and I went to Harbor Animal Hospital where my friends take their pets. They all told me this lady doctor is "nice." Every time my two cats had any problems, she would tell me she must do those endless list of exams which for someone like me, a working class person, cannot afford. And even if I tried to do the basic minimum tests which includes instead of sending the sample all the way to Texas for like $70-80.00, the analysis will be done by "locally but not really accurate" for under $30.00, for my cat's UTI (my previous vet told me some cats like her will keep getting it once in a while) it will cost me around $700.00. Of course everything comes out negative, then she would go, "we need to do more tests because those minimum tests couldn't show everything." I spent more than a couple of thousands on them in a year for just one cat who had a simple UTI problem. And she'd never know what's wrong with my cats! And I found out I was not the only one who had the problem with them. I checked internet and I found several sites which have same kind of reviews especially on the same lady doctor. They would demand to do the tests after tests or "your cat/dog could have a serious illness and very dangerous for his health" and they would tell the owners they have to do more tests because those tests were just too basic or whatever. I immediately looked for a new one and although it's about 40 miles round trip drive, I finally found my new vet, North Figueroa Animal Hospital. By the way, all of my friends who take their pets there are people who don't really have any money issues. So they don't hesitate a second to do those over a thousand dollar tests or buy those expensive can or dry foods they provide. Of course they are "nice" to my friends who would drop the money like that.
Pros: clean and nice facility
Cons: do you have plenty of money? if not, forget about it
