When my daughter found a stray dog in Lakeland, we decided to keep him. Since she has taken her two dogs to Happy Paws and has been pleased, I decided to try them. Stanley came away looking like a new dog! Since I live in Orlando I tried the groomer at one of the major pet store chains--never again! I will continue to drive to Lakeland to have Stanley groomed at Happy Paws rather than waste my money trying to find someone else here. more

We have a shih tzu and it took forever to find a good groomer. This is the first place that gets it right every time! Great prices too. more

I've taken my Shih Tzu to a few places in Lakeland and definitely think the quality of work is best at Happy Paws. I get a specific cut and was very pleased. Definitely recommended if you want better quality at a similar price to other places in the area. more

I take my cocker, Cocoa, to Happy Paws and we love it. He doesn't have to stay all day and looks perfect when he comes home. I highly recommend Happy Paws to anyone. more

I have taken my dog to Happy Paws for almost a year now. He loves to go there he heads right to the back to his favorite kennel. He comes out looking good and he smells great. I asked for something a little different and they did it for me no problems. I will always go to Happy Paws. They are very friendly and they care about their customers. more

I have taken my dog there twice, the first time my Tilly itched for 4 days....I took blame because I failed to tell them that she has sensitive skin..The second time I took her, she clung to me when I picked her up..The next day when I returned from class I discovered that her eye was full of puss,I immediately took her to the animal hospital and it was discovered that her eyeball was cut.I received ointment and pain meds, the day after that, her other eye did the same thing and of course..Both her eyes were cut..I am appalled, I called to let them know what had happened and that I wont be coming back and still have not heard from the owner..Im not sure what I action I should take at this point, Im still thinking about it, however one thing is for sure..I WULDNT TAKE A RAT THERE TO GET GROOMED! more

The atmosphere is great and the new owners are very friendly. My Poodle's grooming looks better now than it ever looked in the past visits so I'm pleased about that. You know i just read the other review and its TRUE...the groomer left from animal magic is being withheld her clients..she has been grooming my dog for a year and I was told from KIM the take over woman she ""couldent keep giving sheena the dogs"" ""that there was not enough to go around"" well im outraged I dont care how well a groomer Ms Kim thinks she is. Sheena has known my charlie for 3 years and been grooming him for 1 year..i will continue to go there but try for a busy day like saturday so sheena can still groom my dog. There is nothing against the new owners grooming, its just some people develop relationships with their groomer in this crazy dog world and so do the dogs..for a woman claiming to groom for 25 years as she said she should understand the relationship im speaking on.. it is amazing how much of a change not only in grooming but attitude that place has developed in the last month...as a frequent customer..I AM DISPLEASED with the new OWNER with her perseption on grooming on the horrid way the dog looked and the comforts of my dog. there is one woman left from the business who was there for about 4 years a young lady with long hair..she is wonderful and a good groomer but is under the rules of that new owner... poor thing...im sorry to say i have to find a new groomer because i do not have the choice of what groomer i want to groom my dog anymore with that new business, called happy paws pet spa or something of that nature..they young woman who knows my dog and who i would trust with my dog is unable to except my or others wishes when it comes to what dogs she can groom. I just know she would if she could but it seems she like many of us needs her job and must follow new rules. it saddens me ill have to revert back to another previous groomer. My dog loves going there and always comes out flea-free and smellin' great! He only goes for a bath but I've seen them groom other dogs and they look wonderful. I like that the grooming is done up front and in the open, not behind some wall. The girls there are so friendly and wonderful. More than once I've caught them giving hugs and kisses to a dog or a cat and snuggling with the ""clients"". They really enjoy their work and it shows.
