Dog Day Care in Longmont 12/15/2011

If you're looking for a place where no matter what type, age or temperment your dog may have, Olivia and Brian and their crew are THE crew for you and your pet! My 15 year old yellow lab has needed a bit of extra TLC as she gets stiff and over excited at times and when she needs a break, she gets one. If she needs to warm up, she gets to. Her anxiety level has gone down markedly since starting with Happy Hounds about 6 weeks ago. I can actually go to the mailbox now without her going balistic! The people who work at Happy Hounds are sensitive to each pet they care for and they recognize that ""our"" pets are like our ""little people"". They treat dogs with the same care as the sometimes overanxious 'parents' need and when your dog goes, it's like a playground for them. You can go to your appointments, to work or wherever you need to go with complete piece of mind knowing that your pet is in the best hands possible. Compared to companies that offer 'pet-sitting' there is no comparison! You never have to worry if your pet was walked, watered, loved up or if the 'sitter' even came! Olivia, Brian and their crew are there for you and your pet 24/7. The peace of mind I now have leaving my Eevee with them is priceless. If you haven't visited them, you are already a day late! more

Happy Hounds keeps my hound happy! 11/3/2011

Our 15 month old Boxer/Lab mix LOVES Happy Hounds, in fact he starts getting very excited as soon as we are on Sunset St. heading south - God forbid if we have to wait for the train, it's too much for him! more

A Truly Happy Doggy Daycare 10/29/2011

1 of our dogs, Ouray (Siberian husky) loves to play! Our other dog Aspen (Shiba Inu) also plays but in his own way....He needs a bit of gentle encouraging & needs his bigger sister (ouray) to play with. Both need LOTS of attention & socializing so when we dropped them off at happy hounds for the first time, I assumed it would be just like any other doggy day care. We have visited other ones as well but found happy hounds is clearly the best doggy day care around. It didn't take but a couple times over there & our dogs can't be more excited to go. Both have undoubtedly made friends & come home completely exhausted at the end of the day. With a very friendly, professional & concerned staff, we could not be happier with Happy hounds & I cannot recommend them high enough. more

Excellent dog training and services 9/16/2011

When we adopted our new dog, Saben, we knew we and she were going to need a bit of training after she escaped from our yard twice on the first day. Saben was about 4 yrs old and we had no idea what her background was when we brought her home. We had taken one group class shortly after we adopted her but we were still having some serious concerns regarding her strong interest in small, furry creatures and her desire to run free, including into a busy road near our home. We had used Happy Hounds as a daycare and boarding option but were not aware that Olivia was offering one-on-one training until we discussed our concerns with her and Brian. We had been impressed with how well Saben seemed to behave after spending time with Olivia and were pleased with her approach, using positive behavioral training techniques. We recognized that we needed as much training as Saben did and Olivia more

Yes, the Best Doggie Daycare in Longmont 7/20/2011

My yorkie Sammy has been going to Happy Hounds for over a year and he runs to the door when we get there. He has a handful of puppy freinds there and comes home very tired from lots of well needed play and social activity. Brian and Olivia always tell me about how he did that day. They are extremely attentive to each dog and realize that it is important to the owners to know the details of the day with their dog. It is clean and safe with the large indoor and an outdoor play area. The noon time nap helps them so they can be rested for an afternoon of more fun. There are other doggie daycares in the area but none compare to this upscale place in my mind. Happy Hounds is a ""TEN"" on my scale of satisfaction. more

Best Doggie Day Care in Longmont! 7/15/2011

We have taken our ""child"" to Olivia and Brian since she was just a baby. They are the most caring sitters you could ask for. All the ""children"" are treated as if they were their own, and the place is always super, super clean. Before selecting Happy Hounds, we went to at least 7 other places, and not one of them compared to Happy Hounds. We entrusted them with our baby for 3 nights and she was treated as if she were in their home. Thanks Olivia and Brian, you two are great! more

  • Building trust is the first step in any relationship. We work to get to know our clients and their dogs from day one. Nothing about caring for dogs is a cookie-cutter process. Each client has different needs, and so do their pups. At Happy Hounds, our staff works to provide for each dog's individual needs, whether here for just a half-day of daycare, boarding, in for grooming, or here to sharpen up on a few training skills. Our goal is to treat your pup like family.
