Of this chain, this is the largest location yet, but something went wrong with this one. The one in Cherry Creek had a classy lounge feeling to it. This one is dark, forboding and vacant. No wonder the staff is so miserable. Been twice and they are not getting a 3rd chance. 1st time had a lousy hostess who told us tables were reserved when it was empty AND when we decided to sit at the bar because she was so annoying, she would glare at us when she walked by and must have said something to the bartender because he was a total jerk as well. No smiles, no happiness to have our business. \r

2nd time I went with coworkers, even though I warned them, they promised it would be better. We went on a Friday. Again, same issue with the hostessing. The place was EMPTY and they were telling us we'd have to wait for a window table because of reservations. We decided to sit on the patio and only one of those tables were seated while we were there. There was no reason we couldn't have sat where we wanted to other than the hostess was trying to feel empowered or something, maybe trying to make the restaurant seem busy? No customers = not busy!\r

There was supposed to be all this happy hour hullabaloo with entertainment and a DJ and it was so sad because they had these dancers and it was EMPTY. \r

Hapa Sushi, you aren't what you used to be, now you are just played out.
Pros: Some interesting menu selections.
Cons: Unhappy staff, morbid environment.
