Hannibal Auto Repair

Hannibal is the best mechanic for older cars I have ever found. We have been using him for abut 8 years and he has saved our old cars so many times. He always tells you if it is worth it to fix it. When we had a car that he could not fix, he told us straight out we had to take it to a dealer. He has never overcharged us for work - he is usually about 30% lower than the dealers"" quotes. The garage is small and so busy that it may take a few days to get in or get the work completed but he tells you that up front. I would recommend this shop to anyone. more

I brought my car to Hannibal Auto for one issue dashboard lights fading out, he said it would be an easy fix, when I went to pick up my car dashboard lights were a different color from original and directional signal was not working - had to bring it back the next day, he was very rude told me my car was NOT a priority, bring it back following day to fix directional, when I pick it up for the 2nd time, now my blowers are not working, I bring it BACK AGAIN and he was very agitated, disrespectful and rude. They messed up my car and treated me like crap! My car smelled like burned electrical wire when I picked it up he claimed not to smell it. This past Monday there was a fire under my cars hood, I know it's due to the negligent sloppy work done at Hannibal Auto. DO NOT GO THERE!! more

Hannibal is a fantastic neighborhood mechanic he is honest and will try to save you money whenever he can. Very convenient to get to not a far walk from the T if you need to leave your car for the day and take the train to work more

If you have an older American or Japanese car and want to keep it working, this is the place to go. I've had 5 repairs done here. One minor one was done free. Hannibal is good with diagnosing a problem and determining if it's worth it to fix. I heard him tell another customer in front of me that he didn't want to spend his money repairing ""something"", because the car wasn't worth it, and that he'd do better to get rid of it. How many mechanics will tell you that! I was impressed. I've recommended friends to this shop, especially women who are sick of mechanics taking advantage of them. They were all happy with the work.\r The shop is a very small neighborhood garage with 3 or 4 mechanics working there. There's nowhere to store cars, but the service is great.\r \r - chris Pros: Great service, expert diagnostics on older cars, low repair charges. Cons: No parking, no storage, small dingy atmosphere, no computer diagnostics. more

Hannibal is great if you have an older car that needs a little TLC. He has redone my brakes, my AC and always takes care of me. I was introduced to him by a friend who also had brake work done. The work is good, quick and he doesnt try to overcharge you if you are a woman. more
