It was well worth the drive to get to Hanks Ice cream Shop. The owners were so nice and friendly. You could have sworn that they have known you for years. The ice cream smell once you opened the door was to die for. The butter pecan was so chunky you just knew you had tons of pecans, but it wasn't over powering with them It was just enough to have at least two pecans in every bite. The strawberry was fresh, it was as if they had a Strawberry patch under the shelves. They had a coconut ice cream, along with other ice cream you didn't know was even available. The only bad thing about the site was that it closed a little early, but the owners didn't seem to mind as the people kept pouring in after closing hours. They weren't pushy. It was also kid friendly, but just a little small for a bunch of people or someone with a lot of rowdy kids. This is a must see on anyone's list that loves quality ice cream.
