Handyman Matters is very good at answering the phones immediately and they set up appointments for your convenience. They even moved around other appointments to make it more convenient for me. They did a very good job and work very quick. We've had them over about two or three times and they've always sent out a very professional person who knows what they're doing. Professional and efficient. 9/4/2013

Handyman Matters did a bunch of jobs for me. The worker shows up on time and cleans up after himself. He explains the job, explains the cost involved, and explains your options. It's just good service. I had first used their service six or seven years ago and I recently used their service because we had a couple of jobs to do in our old house and our new house. So over about a month's time, he did a bunch of jobs for us. more

Good job done by Handyman Matters 8/14/2013

I've only had the occasion to use Handyman Matters on two different houses. One had locks changed and a few jobs done before it went to settlement. They were prompt, did a good job, and I was very satisfied with the cost and everything else. The other was a house that had a lot of damages on the shingles from not being painted when it should have been. It had a lot of rot and damages as a result of the aftermath of termites we had exterminated. My client thought it would be thousands of dollars to fix. I had Handyman Matters come and do an estimate and my client was ecstatic to find out she could have everything fixed for somewhere around $1,200. So I've only been familiar with their business for a little while. They do a good job, though, and I have told other realtors about them. I would recommend them anytime. more

Punchout list for selling 7/18/2013

We used this company 5 times over a two month period to do various handyman jobs to prepare our previous rental home for sale. We had 4 different guys come out and all were very professional and knowledgeable. A few even gave us recommendations that saved us money. They genuinely seemed to care about the work they did, asking questions if unclear and took pride in doing a good job. They were polite and cleaned up after each job. The price initially stuck me as high but after getting estimates from other "specialists", I found them to be cheaper. Customer service from the office is excellent; responsive and quick. Will definitely use them in our primary home now. It was our first experience using a handyman service and a good one! more

Excellent work 6/18/2013

Had a plumbing leak at an exterior hose outlet, Will arrived on time, we discussed the project, he removed the wall and exposed the damaged pipe, repaired the pipe, IMPROVED THE INSULATION, the entire project was completed on one visit. I have no complaints. My job was focused but the repair process was very satisfactory. I would use the service again. more

Handyman Matters came out when requested. They did excellent work, really. My only problem was the price. At $88/hour, it struck me a bit high. That's about what my mechanic charges me. more

Good work, but needs more clear communication 3/6/2013

The quality of the work of Handyman Matters is OK. I didn't like how they underestimated the work load. When scheduling they said the job would only take about one or two hours, but it turned out that they took longer so we paid more and it was difficult with our schedule. They should have known how long the job would take. The final job was OK. RESPONSE FROM Handyman Matters Inc: Thank you for your review! I had sent them an email telling them what I needed and they got right back to me to give me an estimate and set up an appointment. When the guy got here he was very professional. He looked around, and let me know what he would be doing before he did it. I am very pleased with the results. more

Dormer repair 1/1/2013

We had rotting wood around our dormer windows. Handyman scheduled us right away and had someone out to do the job within a few days. Unfortunately, there was no pre-visit to determine the extent of the job and the tools necessary. The roof was more slanted than anticipated and the first thing the handyman had to do was figure out and then buy the materials to ensure he had a stable base to work from. I was a bit worried that only one person was assigned as it seemed a bit dangerous to only have one. Once he established a stable working surface, things went pretty smoothly from there on out. He did a good job replacing the rotting wood and ensured caulking and painting was done. I was very happy with his work, I just wished he was more prepared for the job and that he had a colleague to help him. more

Highly skilled handymen with a variety of different abilities. 8/10/2012

I had Handyman Matters replace the screens on my outdoor screened patio. It was my first time using them. Everything turned out really well. They did a little more work than I expected, because they had to replace some wood, however the person was very capable and did a good job. The seem to have highly skilled handymen with variety of different abilities. more

Knowledgeable!! 7/10/2012

The gentleman from Handyman Matters of Columbia, Southern Montgomery County and Baltimore came in and looked at the area he was going to work in. He was putting in a shower door, and it wasn't just a regular shower door, but something different. There were some instructions and some tools, and he came to work. He cleaned up, and did an excellent job! It was very good. The worker was gentlemanly, and I was extremely pleased. He seemed to know his job. I would say that Handyman Matters sends you someone who is knowledgeable in the field in which they're going to be working! more
