The craftsmanship was decent, but the hole they cut to diagnose an issue took them 2 months to come back and fix. Awful experience. Beware more

Great service! 3/23/2011

I am a small business owner in Lexington and needed a few things done around the shop. I called Handyman Connection and they had someone out in a few hours. The repairs were done quickly without any disturbance to my business or customers, and the work was done for less than the estimate. I have used them twice since then. Highly recommend! more

Don't bother with this company!! 1/25/2011

I had a service man come to my place of business to rework an outlet. He acted like it was the worst job he'd ever been on, he kept complaining. He rescheduled the job for the next dayfor someone more qualified, so he said. The next day, no one ever showed up, I called and left a message and it has since been 3 days and I have still heard nothing from this company. I ended up called Mr. Electric out of Nicholasville KY and the service there was excellent. I wouldn't recommend Handyman Connection to anyone. more

Do not waste your money 4/28/2010

We decided to use this company after seeing advertisements on TV. We needed many little things done--replacement of taps etc. but nothing major. On the scheduled day, the workman hadn't turned up by 10:30 and when i called they contacted hime and he said he couldn't make it. No call to inform us, and i'd already taken off work. The next day he finally arrived at 12:30 and worked until 4:30. He didn't finish and returned to work the next day at 12 and left at 2:30. It cost $1000 for 6.5 hours. Not only that but he didn't take care of a few minor things that my husband didn't notice until after he left--chalking around a basin, a patch in the wall. I was definitely overcharged and would not recommend thjis company again. It may be that we stumbled upon the one workman who isn't up to scratch; however, the company itself has not replied to my emails or taken the slighest bit of interest in our disatisfaction. more

Very Handy 12/1/2007

We've used the Handyman twice: once to install ceramic tile in our kitchen and once to replace a drop ceiling and install new lighting in our basement. We were pleased with both services. The "Handymen" worked up a reasonable estimate before beginning their work. Once we agreed to the cost, service dates were scheduled and the work completed. I'm sure we'll use them again. more

What a ripoff! 12/19/2006

My house was flooded several days ago. I called Handyman Connection to fix the broken pipe connected to a toilet. A plumber from Handman Connection came in. Clearly he noticed I was stressful state busily handling contractors, people from service master and the whole mess. He quickly checked the pipe then took advantage of the situation and asked $200 to replace the pipe, which costed only $7 and took him less than 5 minutes to replace. I never thought to bargain in that situation.\r \r A plumber will come in to replace the same pipe PLUS whole toilet flusing system for my other two toilets in a couple days. Do you know how much it will cost? Total $70 for labor cost. more

good service if you have the money 6/20/2005

Friends used Handyman Connectoin service and were very impressed. They had the money to spend to buy these services and were quite glad they did. Excellent service, got exactly what they asked for, and workmanship was even better than expected. Overall they say it was a wonderful experience. They had work done in a dining room, refinishing walls and painting, as well as doing some shaping for atmosphere. They got a quote on bathroom refinishing, but decided to wait for a while to see if they REALLY wanted to make the investment. They are certain they'll recoup the cost when they sell. more
