Used this company for bathroom remodel and it was nothing but headaches and problems with this company. No one speaks English first off. They play bait and switch with their costs. Asked for the owner muany times and was always told he was out of town. The work was sloppy and on top of it all,had to hire another contractor to repain walls,replace molding they tor up and threw away. They threw away a brand new shower head that I had paid $89. for and I had to go and buy a new one! more

I've read the other reviews on this company and I have to say a few things. Yes the employees that I dealt with were all Russians and some spoke limited english. So what people, learn to communicate! I had my 80 year old front porch demolished and replaced along with extensive metal work to the ceiling of the porch. It is absolutely gorgeous! Benjamin was on time for the estimate and it came in on point even though they realized some more expensive metal was required once they got into the job. They didn't try to get more money from me for this. The crew was very nice and were extremely concerned with my happiness. I will give this company more of my business! more

I'd like to recommend Handyman on Call services to anyone considering home repairs or improvements. Benjamin shows up on time, and delivers as promised. Even though he is willing to come in to finish chores you've started, save yourself some time and money by calling him FIRST. He can review the job, and help you choose the proper materials, saving unneccessary trips to the hardware store. I also appreciate Benjamin's follow-up (a rarity in the industry), and the fact that he stays within his scope of expertise (i.e. he won't say ""yes"" unless he's comfortable with the task). With prices that are highly competitive,there's just no excuse for not giving him a try! more

I don't think I would go back to Handyman On Call LLC 4/14/2012

I used this company to re-install a drapery rod in my home. I can't complain about the service, but the price was ridiculous. I want to say it cost a couple hundred bucks for like an hour of work. They charged me to make a trip to Home Depot (which is like 3 blocks from my house) to buy screws. In my opinion, a handyman should come prepared with essentials, like screws, anchors, nails, etc. They also upcharged me on the supplies. I don't think I'd go back. to Handyman On Call LLC. more

Save your time & $ 4/14/2012

Well, when I had Ben come out to my house for an estimate I told him that I had a limited time to have the work done before moving in. He said he would call me back with a detailed estimate right away but never did. I called, left messages, emailed him for several days but there was no response at all. I was upset that he wasted my valuable time. Wish he just had told me he hadn't had time for my project. Do not call! Save your time. more

Should check Citysearch reviews first! 4/8/2012

One of the few times when I didn't check Citysearch Reviews before making a decision. I need to replace a shower head and after a quick Google search, I found Puget Sound Plumbing. My handyman had told me this would be about a $100-150 job so I was shocked when I received a $395 quote. However, given that I live in Fairfax VA and this is for my rental property in Baltimore, I didn't feel like I had a lot of options at that point. I later found out the entire job took less than 30 minutes and other plumbers have told me I was definitely ""had"" for that price. Lesson learned to always check with Citysearch Reviews first! more

They do decent work, and they're only moderately expensive. *IF* you can get them to answer phone calls and show up. Incredibly flaky people. Be prepared to lose a day or two sitting around waiting. If I knew __anyone__ else who did decent handman work at a decent price I WOULD NEVER CALL THEM AGAIN. Be prepared to call and call... and wait and wait. And you might get lucky. more

Terrible business, poor customer service 3/23/2012

Owner promised to do a job for me and left me hanging for over a month. When I asked him what happened, he said he was ""busy"". Not even a common courtesy call to let me know. Nothing. Every time I called to his office manager didn't know what to say - ""he will call you back"" and guess what? Nobody called me more

I came across this review because I'm looking for a handyman. When I clicked on the link, I realized it was HandymanOnCall . Estimator Benjamin came to my house for a small project some years ago. When he did not appear during one of the days, I had to hunt him down by phone. He said he was planning on finishing my project some other day but just didn't inform me of it. The tile work his workers did was not very good and for some reason they didn't use tile spacers. They left a window unlocked through which a theft occurred. I would not use Handyman On Call again. more

We were totally looking forward to working with Handyman On Call LLC! Unfortunately, while they was wonderful to speak with, it became exhausting trying to get an affirmative response on work The projects were too simple to wait around for weeks for Handyman On Call LLC to affirm an appointment so we just used one of the other fab handymen on citisearchDOTcom/. more

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you wanna save your money and your time find other company. Do not call Handyman On Call. Horrible customer service. You need to spend like 15-30 minutes on the hold every time you call them. Sucks! I would give them 0 stars !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! more

DON'T RISK IT! 3/20/2012

I had placed a call to Handyman On Call LLC Wednesday Nov.24 to get an estimate on some roof tiles I need done on my house. Project Manager answered the call. She seemed pleasant and had scheduled to fit me in on Monday, March 19 from 12pm to 2pm. I thought that was quite quick and convenient seeing as it was going to be during my lunch hour. Monday came I drove home from work and waited till about 2:30. No call, no show. I called Handyman On Call LLC again. Manager said that estimator got some family emergency issue and someone gonna come over soon. I waited and waited and waited till 4:30pm no call, no estimator. Was quite dissapointed. I have yet to recieve a call from manager to this date. If you want unreliable services then call Handyman On Call LLC! more

Fast, Reliable, Reasonably Priced, Clean 3/10/2012

This service was excellent. The Contractor was there on time and did an excellent job. He did not try to sell me any additional services or products, and performed a great clean up job. I would definitely use them again. more

Very reliable, very happy 1/24/2012

I have been a customer of Handy man on call since 2010 and I am very happy with the services provided. They have reapired my gutters, garrage, garrage door, tiles in my basement, reparied the tiles in my kitchen and numerous other things, I call them first for everything and when they say no, they can not do it , then only I call others. Their workers are always on time, do not waste time on the job, the agreed cost estmates are final, no demand for extra money at the end. Above all, once they start a job , they stay on it , till it is finished rather than hop from job to job and leave the work unfinished and have to call rpeatedly for "" when are the workers coming back and when will the work be finished"". The workers are also very honest , they do not pilfer and steal. I have had that experience with others, but not with them , so I call them first for any problem. I am very happy with their services and will recommend them to any one all the time. They have just finished the tiles in my basement and it is just the start of the year, I have lot more projercts for them in mind. more
