Horrible experience 4/11/2015

To even give this business one star is a stretch. What a horrible place. Our 14 year old dog got very ill and was taken in. It was pretty clear to our family that his time had come. We strongly believe in making that time as peaceful and loving as it can possibly be. Unfortunately this clinic does not share that mind set, they are just there to suck as much cash from you as they can. The "doctor" pressured our family to have test and treatment that went way above what was right. When told that was not desired he insulted everyone even with children in the room. We were over charged for medication that the dog was clearly too ill to take Also charged for services not rendered. Said take him home if he isn't better in 48 hours have him put down. \r Less than 12 hours later the dog died a horrible Death that no pet or its family should have to experience. Of course when notified the clinic has not bothered to respond! \r Please if you love your pet go elsewhere! The only thin more

Neurological Problems after Dog Neuter 8/28/2012

I took our Pit Bull Mix puppy here and was neutered and had blood work done by Dr. Frazier on August 6th. Ever since the surgery, he has been lethargic, walks with back legs crossed, lays with back legs crossed, sways from side to side and has overall lost a lot of balance. Dr. Frazier insisted we have x-rays and found my puppy's left hip is "almost popped out of the socket." Dr. Frazier does not think the hip situation could cause the crossed legs, but probably a neurological issue that he had couldn't help me with. He referred me to a specialist which seems to be a habit of his from reading reviews. He didn't even give me any guidance on what to do for my dogs dislocated hip (like take it easy or offer any pain medication) just sent me on my way with a $90 vet bill. My dog had NONE of these symptoms until after Dr. Frazier performed this "simple neuter" and since he has been "doing this for 20 years" one would think he would have some idea of what he was talking about. Would not recommend at all 8/10/2012

I took my cat in there and saw Dr. Hadley, i would not recommend him at all. He acted like he didn't want to hear anything I was saying, and talked to me like I was stupid. My cat had labored breathing, and was lethargic, and was breathing through his mouth. I've never seen a cat breathe through his mouth, especially with labored breathing, and the vet told me, that it was normal.. labored breathing is NOT normal. When I was trying to explain to him what my cat was doing, he just kept saying, "uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh..." the whole time I was talking, like he wasn't even listening to me. Very frustrating when you have a sick cat, and need reassurance. more

Great People but... 12/8/2009

Edited Review to lower rating 9-7-10.\r We were taking our "Free/$2000" cat Lucky 13 to Hamilton Crossing since we got him 9 years ago - not such a free cat being as sickly as he was and continues to be. Dr. Frazier and his crew were always SUPER nice. However, his treatments never cured the cat's problems. Since taking him to a different vet a couple months back and trying a less expensive treatment, he is doing well. He will never be truly cured, possibly due in part to the surgery we did on his mouth while with Frazier.\r This is a beautiful facility with all the labs you could need and their late hours helped our schedule. In the end, we liked the people but our particular cat disease was not well diagnosed and efficiently treated. We've moved elsewhere. more

negative vet 11/18/2009

I took my dog to see Dr. Frazer and was not impressed. The staff seemed nice but Dr. Frazer spoke to them as if they were stupid and put them down in front of me then told them to get another staff member. This made me feel uncomfortable with the level of overall knowledge by the staff to medically treat my dog. Time spend in room by Dr. was short and he kept telling his assistant they weren't holding my dog right on the table.I felt bad for the assistant and my dog wanted to get out of there. I felt rushed by dr so he could move on. Didn't seem to care if I had questions. I found another vet that is happy to see me & my dog and staff is great too. more

HIghly Recommend 3/13/2009

My family pets have been "patients" of Dr. Frazer for over 13 years. I drive from the west side of Zionsville just for the service! We followed Dr. Frazer from other locations. Dr. Frazer truly cares about our dogs well being and goes up and beyond to make sure they are comfortable. We have had nothing but positive experiences with Dr. Frazer and his staff. Our older dog (14 yrs old) had many health issues and Dr. Frazer made sure to keep him as healthy and comfortable as possible until his passing. Great facility too! more

Not very knowledgable 10/7/2008

My experience has been with Dr. Frazier, for two different dogs. It seemed like any issue we had, he was not sure what was wrong and relied on expensive tests or recommending specialists. Getting second opinions for two cases, I realized that other vets have more knowledge and diagnosed each issue immediately. more

Trustworthy, Knowledgeable and caring 9/10/2008

We have seen Dr. Frazier for 7 years. He truly cares for his patients, and their families. We have had nothing but awesome care from everyone at Hamilton Crossing. I believe cost of the care is reasonable, and I highly recommend the Dr.'s and staff. more

Dr. Frazier is very odd. I love the the other staff. Dr Magnus is wonderful! Frazier is a little difficult to communicate with and is always trying to take my dog out of the exam room to administer shots, take blood, etc. I want my scared pet with me. The pricing is higher than average for the area but do have better lab facilities. more

Great vet 6/11/2008

My wife and I have been bringing our pets to see Dr. Frazer for 3 1/2 years since we moved into the area. He has always been very passionate and caring for our two dogs and two cats. I couldn't imagine taking them to see anyone else.\r \r We also use their boarding and grooming services and have been very pleased with that too. Our one dog used to come home very distressed after boarding at the place we used previously but seems much more relaxed after staying here.\r \r He does a photo with santa event every year which we found out about this year too.\r \r I recommend his practice to all of my friends. And Dr. Frazer is a vet who really does genuinely care about your loved ones. more

Great customer service! 6/6/2008

I've taken our dog to Animal Crossing for close to 3 yrs. They offer late appts. and are extremely customer oriented. The vets are friendly and very informative. Our dog has bad knees, which we recently found via x-ray. The films were reviewed with me and everything was explained on my level. I'd highly recommend them! And, our dog has been boarded with them for 3 yrs. and really enjoys just walking through the door !! more

15 years 9/27/2007

I have followed Dr. Frazer for 15 years. He has only gotten better and more loving towards my pets. He had to help me put my first dog to sleep and he was wonderful! He was Rumble's vet for 11 years. When it comes to sensitivity, caring and true love for pets, Dr. Frazer is the BEST! He is extremely knowledgeable and educates you in all of your options. more

Thank You! 6/14/2007

We recently returned home at 11:30 am on a Wed to find our Lab collapsed on the family room floor, unresponsive, breathing rapidly and super hot. While loading her in the car I called our vet to say we were coming only to find the DR was not in today. I remembered this new facility in Westfield, but not the name. We rushed over from Noblesville, brought our dog inside and asked if there was a DR that could see her. We were immediately placed in an exam room by Dr Magnussen (sp). It was determined Tootsie had eaten a bag of graham crackers (bag and all) and had distended her stomach which put her in distressed and caused her to over heat herself. Within a few hours after cooling her down and restoring her fluids, she was once again our happy girl. The calm professional care provided by Dr Magnussen and staff was greatly appreciated not only by Tootsie but by us as well. I highly recommend this hospital and will be bringing both of our dogs here from now on. more

Quality Care & Service 6/9/2007

I'd like to thank Dr. Frazer and his staff for all their help. Just a few weeks ago, I came home to both of my dogs- both moping, vomiting, and obviously VERY sick. I called my regular vet- They told me it was right before closing and I would have to wait to see them until tomorrow. I called around, and finally found a clinic that would see us. Hamilton Crossing Animal Hospital was ready to close, but they recognized the emergency and got us in. \r Dr. Frazer said that my dogs must have gotten in to some kind of poison. Both would need immediate care. \r Dr. Frazer and his staff stayed after hours to help get them stabilized. It was a while before they were able to come home, but without Hamilton Crossing, I wouldn't have them anymore. I will be forever grateful, and will always bring my pets to Dr. Frazer. more

Impressive 4/10/2007

This hospital is wonderful. The staff is very caring and concerned about your pet. I had wonderful service and the staff made me feel very comfortable leaving my pet. I met each of the vets and found them both to be open and friendly. They answered all of my questions and didn't mind that I called a couple of times to check on my pet. I would absolutely recommend this hospital to anyone. more

Not Bad 10/3/2006

After reading the other reviews I thought I would add my 2 cents. I just got my cat declawed and nuetered there and everything went fine. But I never even met the "vet" the nurses did the consultation and that was it. PROS: inexpensive, easy to get appt, use laser declaw CONS: never met the "vet" more

DEDICATED 7/6/2006

My wife and I have been very impressed with the Dr. and staff at Hamilton Crossing Animal Hospital. We have taken all of our pets there and have entrusted Dr. Frazier to help us make some very difficult decisions. I would highly recommend Hamilton Crossing Animal Hospital and Dr. Frazier. more

IMPRESSIVE 7/5/2006

Dr. Frazer recently spayed our Yellow Lab and did an excellent job. He took the time to answer our questions about this new puppy. He and his staff were very friendly and helpful. We will return. more

Would not recommend 10/26/2005

Although we were customers here for about 2 years, I would not recommend this vet to anybody. We did get some great service there, and they obviously love animals, but I found that our new vet was a lot more informed about medical issues, plus was more positive. Dr. Frazier could benefit from sensitivity training. He also seems VERY uncomfortable around children and often did not like having children in the exam room. He also would remove the pet from the exam room to perform routine procedures, like weighing and vaccinations and just seemed odd and secretive. more
