I first came across this company at the fair. I stood there in their booth for what seeme like forever while the two employees sat talking back and forth. Finally, I approached them to find out how much a two car garage door would cost. They told me they would have to come out for an estimate before they could give me that information. I had them come out for an estimate. The salesman showed up two and a half hours late, didn't even call. Then he tells me that I would have to upgrade the rails and the garage door opener which isn't even two years old in order for me to enjoy my new door. The final estimate was $3,500.00. No Thanks, I found a better door for under $1,000.00 more

I am selling a house that sits vacant in Gowanda. Out of the blue, I get a mechanics lein placed by Hamburg Overhead Door. Apparently a known criminal had been squatting and decided to do some improvements to my place. I called Hamburg Overhead Door and asked why they would install a garage door in a vacant house for sale, with no proof of ownership whatsoever. Donna said they do it all the time! If you know NYS mechanic lein laws, you know that you are assured of payment at the sale of the house, so who cares who ordered the work? Donna continued to hang up on me and call me a "sick woman" for questioning why her company would perform work on my property, at the request of someone on the most wanted list, without any money down or proof of ownership whatsoever! I would simply like my old door back, but the Kuhn's seem to think they are immune to any charges of unethical business practices. Sad! more
