Hama needs to get real with its prices. Seriously. Some sushi, a beer, and a glass of wine = $85. That's nuts. I mean it's not like we are dining on the french riveria over l...

I had a great time here! 6/12/2002

I went with a bunch of friends early on a Saturday night. We had a reservatiion and sat outside in the open air patio. This place was terrific! There were seven of us and we ate a TON of sushi. Our waitress was terrific, as was most of the very busy staff. The sushi was average price and tasted fine to me....with drinks and apps, the bill was almost $300, but well worth it! we had a great time! Pros: fun noisy place, outside patio more

Hotel California at 11pm 5/30/2002

I like the sushi here, but I'm not thrilled with the wait or the check. I come back mostly for the upbeat vibe, and for the sushi chefs' nightly 11pm signature rendition of Hotel California. Pros: Young crowd Cons: Difficult parking more

Not Worth the Wait 5/16/2002

Unless you live within a five mile radius of the Venice Circle, take a pass on this one. I've had better fish elsewhere and the ends don't justify the waits. I do give them points for their imaginative rolls, which unfortunately are hit or miss. The fish isn't the freshest I've had. The sake selection is impressive, though, particularly if you enjoy cold sake on hot summer nights. The waits can be enormous and the service very slow.
