Best salon I have every been to in my 12 year journey to find ""that place"". The salon is super clean and relaxing, the staff is super friendly. My hair has never looked so good and the price is very reasonable. Excellent customer service and talented employees. more

I am accustomed to receiving the best haircuts and service. Of course, I had to pay triple digits. Being meticulous about my cut and color, I frequented this well-known salon every three weeks. I was spending almost as much on my hair as I spent on rent. When the economy went south, I went north. A family member living in Westchester suggested that I try Halo Salon. I did, and it is as excellent as the NYC salon that I used to go to, only the prices are affordable.... Also, the skin products alone are worth the trip. Treat yourself to that Halo experience, you won't be sorry!!! more

Many guys think they don't need a stylist and want to continue to rock that same 15 dollar cut they have been getting at the super-cuts since freshman year. Well, It's time to grow up lads! Get yourself a stylist. I work with Gillian. She spends time on my hair carefully and skillfully snipping away. She is pleasant and seems to care about her clients on a personal and professional level. Her skill shows when you hit that dreaded 3rd week of a hair cut. a typical cut will require you to go to the shop in the third week to get a new hair cut. But Gill's cuts grow out so well, some friend's have asked if I have had a new hair-cut. Also Halo is cheap! Even after a 30% tip I'm out the door with a cut and wash for 30 bucks! I often feel guilty for getting away with such a cheap price. more

I am absolutely thrilled with the results of my Brazilian Blow Out! My hair is very thick and dry, this blow out has left my hair soft, smooth, and frizz free! I have had many different straightening processes, but this by far is the best! Jillian is a magician....I have been to many salons, but I drive over 40 minutes to HaloHair Salon becuase they are simply the best. All of the girls there have done my hair throughout the past two years and I am pleased with all of them. All my friends know how crazy I am about my hair, this is one salon where I know I am ALWAYS going to leave looking my best. Pros: Fabulous Brazilian Blow Out! Cons: None! more

I have been going to this salon since before it was Halo and Jillian has been doing my hair for about 12 years now. She is kind, helpful and takes the time to really get to know her clients and their needs. I am EXTREMELY picky about my hair and Jillian knows my hair better then I know it myself :) Her and her staff are warm, inviting and her salon is like walking into any upscale NYC salon without the fussy staff and overpriced charges. more

I have been going to Jillian for years now and she has remained consistent throughout the entire time.\r Everyone always asks ""who does your hair or How does your hair look so healthy."" I have asked for some crazy requests over the years and she has always steered me in the right direction. Her prices match the job she does which is nothing short of spectacular!!!!\r more

Halo Salon is the BEST!. On 12/8/2008, I visited her salon (Gillian) to have a color and a cut. (I was not happy with my previous color and cut from one of those ""expensive"" salons).Gillian was actually able to take the color that I had (which I was unhappy with ) and change it for the BETTER!! And she fixed the cut that I had to look more appealing!! 150% satisfied!! So, give this salon a try and ask for Gillian; she can make miracles happen!! Pros: Excellent Customer Service, Ample Parking on Street, No Visa or Mastercard accepted (she does accept cash and checks!!) Cons: N/A more

This little salon used to be great...however, now Jillian(the owner) is charging NY City prices to some of her clients. She actually charges different prices for different people. If you are from the Yonkers area and live in her ""hood"" and are Irish - you get a discount. Or should I say you get the ""regular"" price...but if you are from a different ""hood"" watch out - her prices have almost doubled...you might as well go to Manhattan and at least get the royal treatment from Bumble and Bumble or better yet - go to Fredrick Fakai. Pros: Cant think of any Cons: prices are way too steep! more

OK ... So I've been working in the fashion industry and its creative allied fields for many years and I have had the opportunity to have salon services (haircut/colour/style etc.) in countless up-scale and hi-end salons in New York City, Los Angeles/Beverly Hills, Paris ... And; I MUST say that Jillian's skill, knowledge and professional demeanor absolutely equals those in the aforementioned cities AND her lovely little salon is just a few blocks from my humble abode in the Woodlawn section of the Bronx ... I am 100% SOLD on Halo Salon! Kudos! more
