Hallmark Opticians

I went to Hallmark at the recommendation of a friend. I had my eyes examined and then proceeded to order eyeglasses. \r The doctor was great he was very professional and I felt he had my eye health at the top of the list. He never seemed like he was just recommending things I did not need just to up the sales. \r I then went to look at frames and found several I liked. Lisa the helped me go through all the frames I had picked and helped me find a pair that fit great and were flattering to my face. Something I am not very good at. If I see something I like I have trouble determining if it likes me. \r I have gotten many complements on my glasses and I am very happy with them. I am not always kind to my glasses and have stopped in a few times for a free adjustment to keep them lined up correctly on my face. No fault of the glasses just my general mistreatment of them. more

Great frame selection, and even better customer service. I really don't like box stores, and this Mom and Pop is great. They know their products and listen to what customers want. I got exactly what I wanted, and didn't feel like I was being up sold on products I didn't need. A+ for products and service! more

I absolutely love Hallmark Opticians! I went there for the first time 6 years ago and received friendly,enthusiastic, no-pressure assistance with my exam and lenses. After several years it is time for new glasses and I am returning to Hallmark! I had looked into other companies and never had an experience even close to that at Hallmark. They are patient, helpful, professional, and fun to work with - Oh, and they are right down the street! I can't say enough. You get what you pay for and Hallmark Opticians surpassed my expectations long ago! Highly recommended! more

I went to hallmark on a whim and a suggestion from binyons when they couldn't fix my old glasses. Lisa, the optician, was fantastic. She welded my frames back together and then helped me get into see their doctor and get a current prescription for glasses. Their doctor was great and gave me good tips for keeping my eyes healthy for the length of my life. When it was over, Lisa and the front desk girl (Michele?) helped me find a pair of glasses i LOVE. They wern't high pressure sales, which i really liked and they were very reasonably priced. I've sent a few of my friends and family memebrs in their direction. Best place in town by far! And I would know, I've ALWAYS worn glasses!!! more

i discovered Hallmark Opticians while waiting for a bus one evening which was running late (the bus stop is right outside their door) and decided to go in and just look around. One hour later, after trying on SEVeral frames, i had selected the pair i've now had for the past 5 years, set up an eye exam, and was on my way. The staff: Lisa, Chuck (co-owners) and now Michelle (receptionist/billing) have always been super friendly and helpful, they've got a GREAT selection of frames (i looked better than the model in mine), and best of all, they've always been willing to take the time to repair or adjust all the frames i've brought in to them over the years, even if they weren't purchased there. My eye exam has also always been thorough and professional, and the prices competitive--it's worth it even though i don't have vision insurance. i just stopped in this week, saw some super cute Vera Wangs that i can't wait to wear...i'll send a picture when i get them...! What a nice change of pace to go into a place of business for the first time and be greeted with a smile! My titanium frame had come apart on one side and I was at a loss what to do. Through Google and Citysearch I was able to find Hallmark Opticians who can weld and repair frames like mine. I brought them in one afternoon and they were ready a few hours later. The cost was half what I was expecting to pay, based on internet pricing. Michelle, the front desk person, and Lisa, the co-owner and master welder, were great. I have been coming to Hallmark Opticians for the past 10 years. Lisa, the Manager, is one of the best opticians I have ever worked with. Chuck is the very best frame fitter I have ever experienced. I have gone to many opticians to have my frames straightened, fitted, etc. and there is no one like Chuck. At Hallmark Opticians all who work there are always very helpful and give me all the time I need. They give me honest, professional advice and are well worth the 15 mile drive from Vancouver, WA to Portland, OR. I recommend Hallmark Opticians to everyone. I had to get my first set of glasses this month and I found Hallmark in the Hollywood Star news paper. I went to the shop and was greeted by very friendly staff. Not only the opticians, but even the receptionists were overly friendly and tried to help me pick out some glasses. I decided on some very cool frames. I took my girlfriend there, and she was treated with the same great customer service I was. I was very pleased with the staff and selection of glasses frames Hallmark Opticians had to offer. more

I am a new customer at Hallmark Opticians but the staff there treated me like I had been coming to them for years! I had my eyes examined by Dr. Summy To and she was outstanding! I was able to browse through their impressive designer frame selection and choose something that I am really excited about. I have been wearing glasses for going on 10 years now so it kind of feels like a chore sometimes when picking out a new frame. Not only did someone sit one on one with me and help me find this amazing frame but I swear I have never seen better in my life! I have had my glasses for about a month now and all I hear is complements! I just really wanted to thank the staff at Hallmark Opticians for their help as well as great customer service! more

I went to Hallmark Opticians by the recommendation of what I saw written on City Search. The office was very nice when I walked in they greeted me and came over to me to see what I was looking for . I had some specific requests and they showed me where to find what I was seeking. One of the Opticians came out to help me with my prescription lenses and to explain what my options were and what products were available. There was no pressure! They explained about options and let me make the choice, didn't make it seem that if I didn't buy everything that I was really going to screw up or ruin the glasses! (Experiences that I have had in some box stores). It took about a week and a half to get my glasses, which they told me at the time I ordered and they are great! Very comfortable, lightweight & cool! Highly recommend going there! I love doing business with local, family owned business', we don't have enough of them around anymore! Pros: great customer service more

I went to Hallmark Opticians by the recommendation of my dermatologist who goes there as well. I got my eyes examined from Dr. Kautz and it was one of the best eye tests on my eyes I've ever had! The Dr. did the whole test not a ""tech"" he talked to me about what was going on with my eyes and what I could do to get better vision! I got the prescription and went out to the frame shop and there was a woman optician who knew style, face form and color! They had some awsome frames, I got the kind the are magnetized with a sun Clip! They are so cool! I really got a great prescription and I love my new glasses! more

My eye doctor told me to go to Hallmark Opticians for my glasses - and I had a GREAT experience there! Even though I have a difficult prescription, Hallmark filled it without any trouble. Some places that offer 'One Hour Glasses' have made me feel bad about my difficult prescription but Hallmark Opticians were very professional and kind and compassionate too. Plus they have stylish frames - lots of designers. They know what kind of frames look good on your face and they won't let you make any fashion mistakes in that they help you pick the frame that looks best! They have a spacious and comfortable office with free off street parking. And of course they bill your insurance for you too. i have been a long time customer of hallmark optcians i have always recived fast and wonderful service by all that are enployed there i recvied my glasses in a very timely manor i would recommend to all my friends and i have to go to them for there large selection of glasses and friendly people more

Although they are friendly their service is poor and the optician spends more time with female patients than ones who have an appointment and are kept waiting. If you want to get your glasses in any reasonable time like a week do not go here...REPEAT: DO NOT GO TO HALLMARK OPTICIANS the only reason I did was because I found one set of frames that I liked Pros: small and friendly Cons: service is terrible no follow up, keep you waiting for service and glasses more
