Loud and noisy. the food is mediocre at best. a big step down from the first restaurant across town.

Consistently Good any Day 7/2/2008

I have yet to have a bad experience in dining here. I've been able to bring the wife for a a quick date or my young daughter for some time with dad and have always been treated well and left satisfied. Pros: Food choices, quaility, price, good beer selection Cons: Parking can be tough, and wish more seating available. more

PHANTHOM WAS WRONG 2/20/2005

There where to many waitress waiting on the same table . I asked two diffrent one for my check and finally a third asked if I would like my check.My food was hardly touch because I didn't like it the waitress didn't ask if any thing was wrong she just took it a way. more

Great Food! 5/27/2004

The Halfway is by far one of the best neighborhood places around. You can spend an evening of eating and drinking there without breaking the bank. The food is incredible and the staff is friendly. Pros: inexpensive, friendly more

THE PIZZA IS AMAZING! THE BEER AND GARLIC STEAMERS ARE TO DIE FOR! THE BUFFALO WINGS ARE TOP NOTCH! THE BURGERS ARE HUGE! THEY HAVE ALL THE BEST DRAFT AND BOTTLED BEERS THAT YOU COULD ASK FOR! LIKE I SAID, EVERY MANS DREAM BAR, NOW WE JUST NEED SOME MORE HOT BARTENDERS AND IT WOULD BE AWESOME! more

Halfway Cafe All The Way 12/15/2002

My cousin lives just outside of Boston, not to far from the Halfway Cafe. Everytime that I go to visit I make sure that I stop at the cafe for a great meal. The steak tips are the best hands down. more

Halfway cafe is a wonderful local pub where most customers are ""regulars"". Service is fast, friendly and familiar. The menu carries lots of variety: finger food apps, bountiful burgers & sandwiches, create your own pizza and value meals ($5.95 daily). Always a large selection of specials from ""Fish & Chips"" $7.95 to the Big Boy Burger... 2 half lb. beef patties, cheese, bacon, L&T w/fries $8.95) Famous Steamed clams when available $14.95 gets 3 lbs. Excellent tap choices including ""Halfway Amber"" yumm. :o) Family atmosphere. Been a regular for 3 years! Gotta love the place! If you're gonna spend money here's the best value for the whole darned package!!!! Tell 'emIi said hello at the Watertown location.. or I'll see you m'self! Don't be a silly! Check it out! They do it Right 10/21/2002

I moved to watertown last year and I was told to go to the Halfway which turned out to be the best advice I have recieved since moving to the Boston area. The second I entered I was greeted by the bartender and from that point on I felt like I was a regular from the get go. The food was fantastic and the service was beyond good for a neighborhood Pub. Since that first visit I have brought all my friends in and I just hope that the Halfway never stops doing it right. Thank you for making my nites so enjoyable. Pros: Staff, Food, Very Friendly Cons: Small Bathroom, Not one in every town more

I think the Halfway is one of the best restaurants out there. The food is excellent and the portions are plentiful. The atmosphere is nice and the menus are different.There's something for everyone on the menu. I would recomend this to anyone. Pros: Inexpensive, Good Food, Good Location more

You wouldn't guess how great the food is here based on the decor, but what a pleasant surprise! I have been frequenting this place since I first tried it out about 6 months ago. They have great daily dinner specials....Steak Tip dinner special on Monday night is the best way to start off your week! Pros: friendly, great food, great price more

Great local pub 8/23/2002

It's a small, friendly place with quick service and laid back atmosphere. The scallops and pizza are great and I've always left full. Garlic mashed are also a great side order to pretty much anything. Pros: value, free popcorn!, service Cons: margaritas more
