Bad move, I ended up coming in waiting an hour with 3 other peopleand they sucking it up and leaving a DEPOSIT. I dont like to wait. I just made an appointment for a consultation and then had it done the next day. The deposit was 100.00. The girl knows how to do a fusion very well. I have had it done before and they were very big and hers were small and compact. My full head was 500.00. Ive paid less before but the extensions were big and didnt move well. Being a transgendered BLACK male, I needed to find a place that wasn't full of catty people who are judgemental. I am used to SALONS WHERE WHEN YOU WALK THROUGHT THE DOOR eyes are burning a hole into you. This place is nothing like that. I liked the fact that this was one on one, and not people all in my head when I was getting my hair done. I purchased a lace front wig, after the one I bought at invisawig turned out HORRIBLY. Waited a week and had it put on. I love my wig, and am very satisfied with the work. I like the factthat they don't only offer one type of weave and have a very diverse clientel. I have been getting extensions for quite some time, and was tired of tracks. I tried a brazilian knot extensions somewhere else, but my hair did not agree with this type of extensions. It broke off really bad. Also the person who did the extensions, didn't know where to put them so they fall naturally. It was important to me to find someone who knows how to put them in, cut style them and take care of my own natural hair. Pros: knows where to put them, done well Cons: 2 hour wait more

Please ladies if you love having hair on your head then do not let Shanda Smith touch your hair. She has a great sales pitch and appears to be a professional but in the end it is all smoke and mirrors. I went to Fusion Extensions for length. I had nice hair shoulder length hair but after their horrible service my hair is broken off and very damaged. They use pliers and acetone to take out the extensions. (They do not tell you what the removal actually is but if you have ever been in a nail shop, your nose knows the truth). It was like a nightmare and now I have to deal with broken hair and for what...The extensions look great but when you take them out the hair that you came in with is gone!!!! 100% satisfied. But I must admit when I came across the price at first, I was like no way. Now, I am a two time fusion valued customer and I am ready to go back to update my style for a third time. The amount of money you spend here is reasonable for the quality of hair style you get. If you go somewhere else, they are most likely to charge you a high price simply because Beyonce' or Jessica Simpson are known for a wanted style although, their hair skills do not add up to the money they want you to spend. If you're going to spend any money to get your hair done, spend where it iwell ( I am spending mine at 'Hair Extensions New York')! It seemed more like a sleepover than a hair appointment! I am on bedrest and only 5 months pregnant, so traveling to a salon was not really an option. As miserable as I am, I couldnt see myself going to my usual stylist, sitting around all day just to get my hair done. I also live in Jersey and most salons out here do regular weaves and not very good. I was looking for a new type of weave. The stylist was dominican just like me, she came out my house for the first meeting to choose my hair. She then came back 2 days later to do the hair which she order for me. The brazilian is what I got and I am very pleased. I enjoyed her company very much and getting my hair done really lifted my spirits. I will recommend this place to others. Pros: The stylist came to my home, spoke spanish and knew aot about different types of weaves Cons: None! It was a great time. The 6 hours went by quickly. more

I am very impress. please excuse my english. I wanted to do hair extension but many people not know how to do proper. I live in Spain but not many option their for my type of hair, I do come to US often. I needed type extension will look natural and last long. My own hair is long but thin. I book my appointment online. Secretary is very helpful with choosing hair. I sent my pictures before I fly in, and they match hair almost perfect! I do the copper hair coil in the back 6 rows, and I has been one and half months my hair is growing alot. My hair cannot to braid it is too light braids fall off. This type extension is good for my hair. My hair as very damage and thin but now it is growing and look very natural. Thank you. This place is pretty cool. I got a sewn in weave for 200.00. If wasn't bumpy and it was cut very well. I was a little nervous when it wasn't cut with a scissor, but with a razor. The style came out really natural looking and flowing. I was presently suprised, since I have never had a weave cut with a razor. I will never let anyone cut my weave with a scissor again. My head wasn't throbbing at the end, and it lasted. I will go back to this place. Parking is pretty bad, it took me a half an hour to find a parking spot. Otherwise it was a good time. Its maybe 10 minutes from my office in midtown. For me that means alot. I go after work, and I even can go early mornings. My hair cost me 500.00, hair was included. They work very fast. Had my hair done by two people. My hair has been in for 3 months. The girl who does my hair isn't the most sociable person but she knows what she is doing. They have a dominican girl there who roller sets and will blowdry you out, or if you are in a rush you can have it flat ironed. They are always busy, I walked in ithout an appointment and had to walk righ back out, there was a LONG wait. Pros: decent price, upbeat atmosphere Cons: one girl did not speak english but was good... hard to communicate with her more

I Have been to many other places, mhn, to name one which were very expensive and a waste of time. They wanted 1000.00 to glue a wig to my head that would probably only take 5 minutes. They also had these people that seem like telemarkers or car salesman trying to get you to do it. I went to this place because they do so many types of weaves, at mhn, they had 3 options and i didnt like any of them, plus their hair was really silky and mine is not(I am black). This place did a great job on my hair, and they didnt try to force me into anything like mhn. They really listened to what i wanted, and the girl was not afraid to tell me what wouldn't work for my hair. She was a little blunt but i am glad she was because looking back that hair would not have worked with my hair AT ALL! It took 2 full days.. 7 hours on wednesday and 8 hours on thursday. My hair was done a few strands at a time. The stylist barely took any breaks, and my hair looks flawess. I traveled all the way from philly, I was reluctant at first but they have NO OPTIONS out here for weaves. They just braid your hair straight back and sew on the track with double tracks and it is always lumpy. I paid 900.00 but for 2 days of work i think that's not bad at all. My initial appointment was 20 minutes just to pick out the hair and decide what i wanted to do I came back the next day and got it done. I liked the fact that it is a private place, not like salons back home where people are watching you through the window while you get your hair done. It was well worth the drive. more

I really like my hair.... my hair is thin and it is really hard to cover tracks. These girls did a great job. This place is not an african hair braiding salon and not the ritz carlton. It cost me 600.00 where I have been quoted over a thousand for the quality of hair I wanted. I am very happy with what I got done, I was late and they still took me. Another lady was an hour late and she was rescheduled.. Praise god i got my hair done well!!!! i have been in New York for 2 years and have been hard pressed to find someone who can make my hair look real.
