Yr's of great service with Katie 2/8/2012

I have been going to Hair's the Place for a few years now. Katie has always gone above and beyond to do a wonderful job when I have wanted to which up colors of reds and highlights. She makes sure I walk out looking great! I have always felt welcomed with her when I sit in her chair. She has always been upbeat, and treated me as a friend and not a dollar sign. I recommend her to anyone who wants their hair in good hands!!! more

I love love love this place. great staff. Very friendly and listen to you. Katie did my hair color and cut and I love it. one of the best I have ever had. Just what I wanted. Prices are reasonable even if your on a military budget. more

I wish that there were more than 5 stars to give. Wonderful service. Everyone is really pleasant, and the quality of service I got was incredible. Nathan listened to me, made suggestions, and did the work (color/highlight/cut) meticulously. He's a genius. After a horrible experience with a previous stylist, he put my mind at ease and let me know exactly what he was doing and why. Quality is better than anywhere I've ever gone, even in cities in southern California. I wont go anywhere else again! more

Fabulous! 10/20/2010

I came here after a disastrous attempt to go back to my blonde roots after months of being a redhead. It was at another salon where my hair was bleached and dyed with some terribly ashy blonde that came out silvery/mint/bleach blonde. It was terrible. I tried to cover it up on my own twice, but nothing worked. At my wit's end, I checked out Hair's The Place and they fixed it fairly quickly with minimal damage to my hair! The price was cheaper than I thought it would be and the service was fantastic. It truly is a family effort and I have found a new hair salon. more

Great place! 9/30/2010

I would highly recommend this place to anyone. After moving here I started going to Walmart to get my hair done and it just wasn't cutting it. I posted an ad asking about places in the area that people recommended and this one came up, along with Nathen's name. I have been going there ever sense and have always been highly pleased with his work! more

Awesome!! 5/8/2010

I highly recommend this salon. I just recently moved to Havelock from NY because my husband is in the military. Prior to that I have had the same hair dresser since I was little. The salon was recommended to me from a friend and she was right. Nathan is an amazing hairdresser. He is easy to talk to and he did a fantastic job on my hair. more

Nathan is the best! LOVE this PLACE!! 3/29/2010

I've known Mrs. Alisha since 2006, and I absolutely LOVE her and her work! There is no one else that I would trust with my hair!! I have had others go at my hair before and pretend to know what I am asking for and ended up with a disaster, but she is the only one who actually knows what she is about, and definitely knows how do make you look and feel BEAUTIFUL! If you are looking for someone who knows how to give you the look you want, then this is lady you want to see!! more

Best Salon! 3/28/2010

Hairs the place rocks!! ALL the sytlists are friendly and do great work! You cant beat the price! very affordable. Alicia Craven does my hair and I have NEVER been disappointed. I tell her what I want and she listens well, she even suggests things and that would look good. My hair always looks good.She is awesome! LOVE LOVE LOVE her!!! more

I must admit i have had Alisha as my stylist for going on 6 years now. We were in 29 palms together where she was my only stylist, now we are stationed here and she is still my only stylist. She is fabulous! Always inspiring to me as far as style and always does an excellent job at making me beautiful. I am currently in cosmetology school at CCC and i aspire to be as good as Alisha one day. She is my constant inpiration and my constant motivation. She works very hard and has always made herself available for me. I love Alisha and i love her work. She is not only a stylist but an artist and creator of the perfect style for the person she she is cutting for. Her coloring is flawless and her cuts are cutting edge. HIghly recommend her to anyone visiting or living here. more

Hair's The Place is a great salon! 12/29/2009

We moved to Havelock about a year ago. I'm used to living in larger cities, and was a little scared to go anywhere in such a small town. I read the reviews of the salon online and decided to try it. Hair's the Place way exceeded my expectations. I see Alisha Craven and she is amazing. She's better than any stylist I've had before at some of the really pricy salons in Dallas and Kansas City. She does a great job with my naturally curly hair and is great with highlights. She also cuts the hair of my one year old and 3 year old. She's amazing with kids. I would definitely recommend the salon to anyone I know, especially if you can get an appointment with Alisha. more

Alisha Craven is an excellent hair sylist!! I would recommend her to anyone. I drive hundreds of miles to have my hair done at Hair's the Place and it is always worth the drive. She is reliable and very talented! For someone with thick, natural curly hair, I have had more than my share of bad experiences with hair salons. It is a blessing to finally find a hair stylist who understands my hair type and knows how to cut it. The other staff are always friendly and knowledgable! You have to try this place .... you will be back! more

I have gone to Hair's The Place for almost 18 years! Ginny has always done a great job. She and her staff go to hair shows to get the most up-to-date techniques and hair styles. She is the ONLY hairdresser I have ever told to "Give me something new or what ever you suggest." Ginny has the best staff and her shop is always clean. It has always had a family environment. I just recently moved to Havelock NC and I was very nervous about going to a new salon. Hairs The Place was recommended to me by more than one person and I am so glad I went. The atmosphere and the hairdressers were all very nice and very nicely dressed. It is the cleanest salon I have been to in the area. Katie did my hair and I absolutely LOVE it. She also does military cuts which is very convenient. more

Well, Tabitha is my hair girl. She is trendy and up to date on all the new styles. I would never let anyone else do my hair but the people working at Hairs The Place. Tabitha is a dear friend to me as well and would never let me have a bad hair do. If she was not available, I totally would let Ginny or Nathan do my hair. :) If you want a great experience and a great look you should go to Hairs the Place!!!\r \r Love yall more

My best haircut experience in a long time. 3/25/2008

i first would like to say that i am very weary of going to hair salons. too many times i have gone into a salon and come out very disappointed. i called in on a review i saw online and the review recommended going there. what a pleasant surprise! Nathan, as recommended online, was my hairstylist and i must say that i am very impressed; not only with him but with the ambiance and the fact that his mother, who also owns the salon, works there as well! a customer that was sitting next to me said that she would trust all 3 with her hair, and that was very comforting to hear. It is a family owned business and you get that feel too. they are by far NOT the i need to make a few bucks, can i get you in and out as soon as possible, hope you like your haircut, cookie cutter kind of place. Nathan took the time to help me figure/ conjure up a nice haircut for me; and i love it! in my own opinion, i feel as though they keep up on contemporary and trendy looks/ haircuts, as well as keeping true to t more

The owners are a military family. They are excellent and willing to do whatever it takes to make the customer happy. I have never walked away dissatisfied. They are friendly and sincere. Their prices are reasonable for the area. I highly recommend having Nathan take care of your hair care needs. He came highly recommended to me, and he does an excellent job!
