I love William and Hairdresser on Fire. From the little touches, like text and email confirmations, to the extras like my perfect brows and amazing color, I can't recommend this salon highly enough. I get daily compliments on my hair; which a great cut has taken from limp and hanging to soft, shiny and stylish. more

The only salon for me 1/19/2011

6 years ago, while preparing for a major art show in NYC, another local salon badly messed up the simple cut I'd asked for. My sister recommended contacting Hairdresser on Fire. 2 days later I met William and he cut my hair exactly how I wanted! I have been a client ever since. NO ONE FORCES ME TO GO THERE!!! I absolutely recommend them to anyone!! I always feel completely fabulous when I walk out of that salon!!! Thanks, guys! You're the best!!! xoxo more

Awesome Wedding Stylists 7/12/2010

My 4 year daughter was a flower girl in my niece's wedding, this past weekend. I had been debating on what to do with her hair. Based on fantastic past experience at HOF, I decided to book her appt here. Even with one week's notice, they were able to find a stylist to do her hair. I Won't Go Anywhere Else! 6/17/2010

The title says it all. Ever since I started coming here I won't trust anyone else with my hair. I get the perfect cut everytime I go. I am even getting married in September and am I am having them cut and style my entire bridal party before the wedding and they are styling our hair on the big day. Great salon and service! you can get a better cut at cost cutters 3/15/2010

I received the worst hair cut of my life here. My eyebrows and hair are a mess. I spent a lot of money and my confidence is now gone cause of the terrible cut I received. Save your money and either cut your hair yourself or go to a cheap place. You will get a better cut there. Pros: nothing more

Truly Fabulous 10/13/2009

All of the stylists William has on staff are wonderful. The entire staff is courteous and friendly, and they're all very talented. William does my hair, but I've had occasion to have different stylists on his staff do my hair and I trust all of them. The staff is not only well-educated on various services, but they execute them flawlessly whether it's a cut, color, nails, wax, massage, wedding style, prom style, or whatever you need. William is the God of Hairdressers 12/6/2008

This place is incredible. William is the owner, and a stylist who does my hair. I live in New Hampshire and can't make it down for every cut, but whenever I pass through for business I stop here and get my hair done. He is a genius, and how he isn't the biggest name in hair is beyond me. Don't be surprised if he has his own show soon. AMAZING!!! Pros: Truly gifted stylist, the best in the country Cons: Only one location and one william. I wish he had a clone in NH. more

Best Salon in the area 9/22/2008

I've been going to this salon for the past 5 years. I'm a working mom and its hard for me to make appointments in advance so I usually call a week before. Because of this I've seen just about every stylist that works there lol. Their all awesome (yes I have my favorite and he knows who he is :) ). The salon stays pretty busy and if you're looking for a specific time with a specific person you might have to wait for the appointment, though they do use a cancellation list which I use regularly. If your looking for a talented hair salon I would give them a call. I always feel like a million bucks!!! Pros: Talent! down to earth, great team. more

OMG I can not say enough about the service and talent that exists in this stylish shop. Lisa is a hoot and her talent is a tangible gift. I walked in with hair too frizzy, too long and too drab, I walked out with fully restored curls, beautifully layered and the color God meant to give me before he got distracted. I got a hair cut, color, eyebrow wax and a hand message for less than the cost I have paid for the coloring alone at Blades. I have found my new salon and my new stylist. (oh, and about the wait for an appointment...I called at 9:00 and was in the chair at noon, same day. Maybe weekdays are easier to accomodate, it was worth giving up a lunch). Go now! The Best Hair Cut Since I Can't Remember When 6/20/2008

This is the BEST hair salon out there. I've been to so many salons and have had countless bad haircuts. I actually started to avoid going as long as I could and when I did go, I'd just get a trim. There was no ""style"" to my hair. It had been 7months since my last ""trim"" so my hair was . . . long. I really wanted a change but I had NO idea what I wanted (I knew what I didn't want-another bad haircut). My hair stylist was Lisa, after a brief conversation with her she knew exactly what to do. She was absolutly FANTASTIC and this is the best hair cut I've had since I can't remember when. What's even better is that I can easily recreate the style on my own. I can honestly say that I love my hair. I get compliments all the time, I will never go anywhere else-for all you hair salon seekers-your search can stop at Hairdresser on Fire. Pros: You'll get the best hair cut you've ever had. Cons: Salon is tricky to find. No receptionist on Monday so don't call until Tuesday. more

Well, I actually started going here because my dance teacher recommended William. The first time I went I didn't have a clue on what to get for a haircut and I just let him do his thing. My hair looked so great! I got compliments all the time, and I still do. For the next week and a half all I talked about was how much I loved what he did to my hair. This salon is amazing and I recommend this place to ANYONE. I'm actually going to call there right now to book an appointment for semi-formal! Always look Spectacular at Hairdresser on Fire - See William 2/5/2008

William, is the most spectacular hairdresser I have ever had. I have been going to him for over 14 years now. I have taken him to the Emmy's in NY to do mine and my daughters hair. He had done my wedding and is going to do my daughters wedding this April. I have traveled over the past 5 years to Vermont and the Cape for my work. I travel back to Connecticut to see William for all my Hairstyle needs. His personality is fun and enjoyable and his knowledge base in hairdesign, cutting, frosting, coloring, highlighting is beyond spectacular.. He is one hairdresser that is on FIRE! VISIT HIM.. You won't regret it. He is located in the Windsor CT in the Center of town. more

Best Salon in Windsor 12/6/2007

I have been going to William for over 10 years- pre Hairdresser on Fire. I have what people say is 'good' hair. Long, thick, with body and can do anything to it. Everytime I'm leaving there its with a new do- my choice. We discuss what we are going to do before he touches my head. If I wanted the same look every month, then that would be ok too, but not my preference. I've sent a lot of new people there. Each had short hair, which they are always leary about new people touching. All loved the fact that he listens to what you want, sees how you want to take care of your hair, face shape, type of hair etc and wont leave you with something you wouldnt want. Not to mention that William and crew know how to massage your head when in the shampoo chair. Especially Liz, another stylist who has been there for a while. I love when she is available to massage my head! Yes its tough to get into this salon, as all top salons are. For those wondering where the spa is, its in another area within the ajacent building. Parking is either street side or shared with the attached buildings. Tough to know where the shared parking is if you arent familiar with the area. I am originally from Windsor and have been out of town for the past 9 years. I travel back here just to get my hair done every month. Very worth it. Pros: great haircuts, good service more

The best Salon in the area! LOVE LOVE LOVE this place, Its hard to get in sometimes if I don't prebook as there very busy, but so worth the wait!
