I'm always looking for a great deal. I found Sharon on Lifebooker when I was looking for a reasonably priced haircut near a mall that had a store I needed to go to. Well, I'm glad I found her because she is AWESOME!!!\r \r She assessed my needs--bangs w/ little wispies. I left the rest up to her professional opinion and she did me right!!!\r \r At first, I wasn't used to the wispy bangs and edgy look. I went to the mall and put my hair up in the fitting room. I stared at myself and said, ""Wow, I look cute!"" haha! I fell in love w/ my haircut after that.\r \r Several of my coworkers, fam, and friends have been asking me if I lost weight. I know that I haven't and I have some tight Joe's jeans that would agree, so it must be the haircut. I swear Sharon's haircut took off at least 10 lbs. Now that is totally RAD!!! \r \r Not only is she talented and professional, she is also a sweetheart. I enjoyed talking to her and getting to know her. I really need to go back and catch up, oh and get my bangs trimmed while I'm there. ;) Can't wait to see her again! :)\r \r p.s. My profile picture is not updated, that is before my haircut... Want amazing hair? Go to Sharon! 11/9/2010

My husband and I just recently moved out to LA and had NO idea of who I was going to go to to get my hair colored from. I got my hair colored by Sharon just this afternoon and it was the best job I have seen on my hair in a long time!!! She listened to everything I told her that I wanted and she made it happen. I went from being ""play bunny"" blonde to a natural blonde that is the color I have been trying to get to for so long! She has an eye for detail and knows what colors look best on your skin tone. I would HIGHLY suggest going to her. She is very professional, likable and super cute!! I just met her and it was like we've known each other for years!!! If you want great hair for a very reasonable price go to Sharon! more

Christine at The Loft 10/11/2009

I followed Christine to the Loft Hair Studio from the salon where she first stared doing my hair, I just felt like I had great communication with her, plus I love the way designs my hair. The Loft is a slight more of a drive for me but I'm not taking any chances with any other stylists. I really enjoy her as a person, she is very down to earth and funny, she's ma grrrl. So I had to help promote her! Pros: Reasonable Price, Knowledge and Skills Cons: Busy Parking lot more

Extensions are amazing! Thank you Terra! 7/11/2009

Terra Shapiro at the loft did my extensions yesterday. She did such an amazing job. I've had thin hair for years and when she suggested individual extensions I was a little unsure. We decided to give it a try and OH MY GOD. What a life changer. They look and feel SO natural I cant believe it!!! Her prices were extremely reasonable and she worked very fast. I just washed and went this morning and my hair looks amazing. WOW I wish I had done this much much sooner! My hair looks so good. wow. I feel like I now have a full gorgeous beautiful head of hair! Best Hair Stylist in LA! 5/21/2009

It doesn't get any better than Sharon. I've been to 30 salons in LA from the very top down. I didn't get any better treatment then with Sharon. She knows what she's doing, she's attentive, warm, friendly, she listens. You get your value. Pros: Speaks the same language as clients, she listens! Cons: Fantastic highlights more

No No No to Terra Shapiro 4/2/2009

Im not too sure where these reviews came from that Terra is so grand unless it's her writing reviews about herself. I absolutely hated my cut with Terra!!! DO NOT GO TO HER IF YOU WANT A CUT OR COLOR THAT LOOKS GOOD! She totally butchered my layers and gave me a cut that looks like it was done by a 5 year old. Horrendous! I can't believe I paid money for it! I went back to have her fix it, but she messed it up even more! She's a bit of a weird girl, I didn't mind talking to her, but her haircutting skills are just terrible. I have to really style it and curl it to hide the unevenness. I can't wait to grow it out and get it cut by someone who knows what they're doing. The red in my hair is still washing out in the shower after 2 weeks and my scalp still burns! I saw Terra Shapiro at the loft today. What a great experience. It was my first time seeing her, and she did NOT disappoint me at all. I went from a dull lifeless lackluster gross hair to gorgeous shiny vibrant blond that is so pretty with my skin. I don't understand why it has taken so many years to find someone who can do the exact perfect hair color for my skin. I swear i look 10 years younger. That Terra knows what she is doing. i am a devoted client now! Very relieved to have found her. I highly recommend her. Pros: great parking. Sat in massage hair while my color was processing. Very friendly atmosphere. Cons: none! more

Just got home from seeing the amazing Terra Shapiro today! 11/7/2008

My hair looks AMAZING. my husband can't stop looking at me. Im off to my ten year reunion next week and came across Terras reviews on city search. EVERYTHING i read was true. she is AMAZING at what she does, I LOVE my hair, I went from blonde to this really pretty ""rich chocolate brown"" as she said, i feel like a movie star, I have NEVER been happier. All around a GREAT experience i would recommend to everyone. she really knows her stuff. Great hair artist, and shes way cool as well. Pros: everything, including the massage chair and my adult beverage. more

Go see Miss Terra! 8/27/2008

I have incredibly curly hair and it's hard to find someone who knows how to properly cut it. Terra was recommended to me and I generally go in with low expectations but it truly and honestly was the BEST HAIRCUT OF MY LIFE! I also like to have my hair blown straight for fancy occasions... from spiral curls to to straight in no time. Terra is reasonably priced but worth so much more! Can't recommend her enough! Pros: Easy parking, not a terrible hair salon smell, super pleasant environment more

First let me start by saying ""Thank U again Sharon"". I have always been extremely picky with anyone touching my hair and styling my hair but I needed someone asap. I was going out of town the following day I met Sharon and I did not have anyone to do my hair; she made time to fit me in her schedule to help me out, so that in itself was very kind. I explained my situation and she suggested what I could do. I was scared and skeptical at first, but once she took her time to explain how different styles and color would affect the way I look, she made me feel very comfortable due to her professionalism and experience. No one has ever taken their time to explain this to me. She makes sure that what I want is 100% understood by her and by me and her whole attention is on me. On top of everything I've said I had a horrible experience with my eyebrows and she took her time to fix them and she sugested how I should shape them. I would recommend her to anyone! She truly loves and enjoys what she does and she shows it in her work. I had never received so many compliments about my hair, I felt like a million bucks. The experience with her was AMAZING!!!!!!! I HAVE BEEN GOING WITH THE SAME HAIR STYLIST FOR OVER 10YRS AND I HAVE TO SAY MY NEW HAIR STYLIST NOW IS SHARON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TERRA is AMAZING 7/23/2008

I have problem hair and Terra has changed my life! Her color expertise, unbelievable ability with a cut and the best blowdry ever, has given me better hair than ever in my life! I cannot believe the difference in having her as my hairdresser compared to all my other experiences with hairdressers that I was devoted to previously. Terra rocks. I really dig the atmosphere at the loft..it's got a woodsy, comfy feel to it...different from other LA salons. I have Terra Nicole do my cut and color...she's fantastic and affordable! I once went from dark brown to quite blonde to espresso brown again in the course of 2 months and my hair remained in perfect health after each coloring...she's great at assessing what cut and color would work for your style, facial shape, etc. totally recommended!! more

Fabulous Hair Dr. at the Loft Studio 7/21/2008

The Loft is a fabulous find in such a big city! Not to mention my hair Dr. Terra works there. When I do visit the LA area I make it a point to stop in and get my hair rejuvenated. Terra makes me feel relaxed and well taken care of in the fabulous zen like salon. She is a great conversationalist and can straighten my hair like nobody's business. Scheduling with Terra is quick and convienient for me eventhough she is in high demand!! Trust me it will be worth the trip to the Loft. You will never feel like your hair is a statement of you until you visit Terra! more

A rare find! 7/12/2008

Met Sharon for the first time today and everything said about her is true. She really takes her time and won't rest until the client is satisfied. She is also the first stylist I have ever been to that thinks about your hair in the long term, i.e. ""Let's think about how we can restore your hair and bring it to its absolute best over the course of the year."" Every detail is meant to both make the hair look beautiful and improve its condition. Most stylists just want to chop my hair off and call it a day! Also unique, Sharon did not have a an assistant doing half her work for her. She is completely present and attentive. I am lucky to have found her. more

I just came back from seeing the gorgeous Terra at the loft hair studio. I am new to the area and had been looking on citysearch for a hair salon, I came across the reviews and made an appointment to see Terra. She didnt dissapoint me! I got a GREAT haircut ... she didnt cut too much like other scissor happy hairdressers i've gone to ... and she gave me the most NATURAL gorgeous shiny healthy amazing color I think I have ever had! She was professional, very friendly, bubbly, stylish, had great input on what would look good on me for my face shape and busy lifestyle. I felt NO PRESSURE, her prices were very affordable ... she was on time ... and made me feel at ease and look great! I will definitly be seeing her again. I am so relieved to have found a GREAT hairdresser. My hair loks so good ... i wish I could attach a picture :) Pros: great parking, friendly envoirnment. more

I met Sharon a few months ago in a different salon. I went for a consultation only but she made me feel so comfortable that I decided if I ever was going to put my hair in someone's hands, it was going to be on her hands. Six months later I decided to finally do some highlites, but Sharon was no longer at the place I met her at. I google her name, found her, called and made an appointment.\r The experience from beginning to end was FANTASTIC. She made me feel so cared for, and my hair looks FABULOUS!!!!....The highlites look great!!!\r Not only my hair looks awesome, but also the way she treats her clients is amazing, she feels like family already and this is only the first time I did my hair with her. I will definetily recommend her, no doubt about it! more

Made me look FABULOUS!!! 4/22/2008

I have naturally flat, lifeless, mousy brown hair. I've been to quite a few stylists over the years, and spent a LOT of money, but no one has been able to make my hair look great- it was always flat and boring looking. About a year ago, I went to The Loft and saw one of their stylists, (Terra Shapiro.) I do not know what she does, but my family and friends were SHOCKED when they saw my new do! Everyone kept telling me my hair looked like Heather Locklear's hair! It is truly amazing- she made me look like a movie star! My cut gives my hair SO much body, and the color is so beautiful and natural. Terra is more than just a hair stylist, she is really an artist. I still go there, and still look great. Everyone at the loft has always been so nice and so accommodating - I will NEVER go anywhere else!\r Pros: Service, quality, professionalism. Cons: Location is a little out of the way. more
