I have been going to Hair International for several years now mostly because they know how to cut and color my hair. It was very difficult before I found them as I have a tough he...

Worst

I think they have very inconsistent service. I got a part-time stylist who trimmed much too much hair off and gave me a non-style, even though I showed here exactly what I wanted...

Amy rocks! I had previously gotten a poor color job and went to Amy to get it corrected. I was quite nervous at first, but Amy walked me thru what needed to be done and I was pleasantly satisfied with the outcome. Thanks Amy for fixing me up! I've finally found someone who knows how to cut and color my hair the way that I want. more

I have been coming here for years and haven't been for a few months. My regular stylist I normally go to doesn't work at this salon anymore. I was scared to try someone new. I mean a bang trim anyone can do, but a hair cut is another thing. I referred to Renee, i told her my concerns about my hair getting cut too short, and i wanted to keep the bangs long. Renee did an AMAZING job!! She listened to all my concerns and the cut came out beautiful! I received so many compliments on my cut, I told them they need to go to Renee! more

Go to Star! (Her name is very fitting.) Not only did she do a fabulous job on my hair (and I'm very picky) but she's lovely to talk to. Even though the salon was busy, Star took such good care of me that I felt calm and relaxed. She's wonderful! more

I am a client of Marie T.'s and have been going to her for several years now on a monthly basis. She is wonderful, professional, and excellent at what she does. In general, the staff and atmosphere are warm, courteous, and professional. I also really like seeing the diversity of both clientele and professionals who work at HI. I think this is one of its best assets. more

  • Hair International celebrates it's 22nd year at Stanford Shopping Center in Jan 2012. We have been voted best overall salon and best men's salon in the Palo Alto Weekly "Best of Palo Alto Readers Choice" award contest for five years in a row-2007,2008,2009,2010 and 2011.

    We take a real interest in our community and send stylists to the Woodside Priory and the Menlo School for all their senior fashion shows. we take part in "Locks of Love" helping girls donate their hair to be made into wigs for cancer patients. We are involved in an at-risk teen program "Spark", wherein we provide a mentorship spot for 2 students every semester. Our most important contribution has been visiting sick patients at Stanford hospital and servicing their needs at a very minimal price. We have done this for 22 years, and it remains the most meaningful of all we do.
