I have been going to Hair International for several years now mostly because they know how to cut and color my hair. It was very difficult before I found them as I have a tough he...

Worst

I think they have very inconsistent service. I got a part-time stylist who trimmed much too much hair off and gave me a non-style, even though I showed here exactly what I wanted...

Alma is the best! 3/10/2011

It's always great to get my hair cut and highlighted by Alma. I'm allergic to the dye and she knows exactly what to do to avoid any reaction. Alma is the only colorist that I have been to (and I have tried many) who can pull it off and it always looks great! more

Great Service. I've gone elsewhere for reasons of being closer to where I live. At the time, I could not get my eyebrows done at the same time since the nights I came in no one was available. Keep up the good work. more

When you tell Lida what you want, she knows exactly what to do, and she doesn't have to question it as long as you're precise and clear. I've continued to come to Hair International & I always see Lida whether it's for a hair cut, trim, or bang trim because I feel very comfortable with her. It feels great when you find a hair stylist that you can trust and not doubt when they're cutting your hair. more

I had my hair cut by Maya, she was wonderful and very professional and friendly and warm at the same time, she did a FABULOUS job with my hair, gave me an A line haircut that I am so happy with, the price the service everything was perfect. I love Hair International more

Sandy has been my stylist for nearly 5 years and she is fantastic. Not only is she really nice, her skills are excellent. I always love my color and she does an amazing scalp massage when she shampoos my hair. BTW - your prices are really fair and I never feel "ripped off". more

Great cut 2/3/2011

I got a cut, some advice for cutting my own hair and a blowout....$29. I have NEVER paid less than $50 (not by choice) for a haircut. And I don't know if it means anything but her card said "master stylist," which I believe a master's starting rate is listed as $35. So I not only did I get a great cut but also someone that doesn't nickel and dime every service. more

Very caring 1/28/2011

My stylist was JiJi. She was very caring and well informed about my thick, often colored, and damaged hair. Instead of dying, she recommended me to have a coating. It took about 40 minutes, and the color of my hair came out to be so natural. My hair is now natural brown, and feels so smooth, silky, and shiny! more

  • Hair International celebrates it's 22nd year at Stanford Shopping Center in Jan 2012. We have been voted best overall salon and best men's salon in the Palo Alto Weekly "Best of Palo Alto Readers Choice" award contest for five years in a row-2007,2008,2009,2010 and 2011.

    We take a real interest in our community and send stylists to the Woodside Priory and the Menlo School for all their senior fashion shows. we take part in "Locks of Love" helping girls donate their hair to be made into wigs for cancer patients. We are involved in an at-risk teen program "Spark", wherein we provide a mentorship spot for 2 students every semester. Our most important contribution has been visiting sick patients at Stanford hospital and servicing their needs at a very minimal price. We have done this for 22 years, and it remains the most meaningful of all we do.
