Faux Hawk - Real Hot!! 4/20/2007

Soooo my boyfriend got his mullet chopped here today, and DAMMMMMN GINA, he looks HOT now. I can actually have the lights on when we make out and DO IT!! People at his job starting hitting on him again, and i had to show up and defend my territory by wielding my heels all over the place. ANYWAY, needless to say - his cut looks GOOD, I approve and he REALLY approves and would go back. Well done Robb - muchos gracias. Pros: Good cuts - makes people hotter Cons: not much more

Never Going to anyone but Robb 3/14/2007

I was excited about having my hair cut at Hair By Robb after reading the awesome reviews, and I was pleased to discover that they are true! Robb cut my hair, I asked for trim and to improve the overall style. He listened to me and gave me some good suggestions. Right after it was styled I thought that overall it was a nice haircut, but the more I look at it the more I love it, it makes me feel great and it's elegant and modern. Now I understand why people come from all over to have their hair cut by him! more

Hair By Robb is the place to go.. 3/14/2007

Ok so I've been to a lot of hair stylist and they all seem to do the same old style, then a friend told me about Hair by Robb...Robb looked at my hair and I told him my hair history, he sent me off for a great shampoo then Robb starts snipping away. when i was done it looked great! and it looked very different from the old look...but...the real test was the next day when i do it myself. well its been 3 weeks now and I am still very happy with Robb and my new cut. I had an absolutely amazing experience the first time I went to Hair By Robb, and I have been back again and again. Robb is INCREDIBLE! I love my haircut/color. Highly Recommended 1/22/2007

Went to get my hair cut a couple of weeks ago, and had a wonderful experience. After spending a lot of money over the years at Salons in West Hollywood, where I got expensive cuts that were inconsistent, I went on the recommendation of a friend to have Robb cut my hair at Hair by Robb. And I am thrilled I did. He is really fantastic, spent a lot of time discussing what kind of cut would work for me, and recommended a product to me that actually works in controlling my frizz! more

This Guy Can Cut Men's Hair..... 1/22/2007

I was highly recommended to Robb after being subjected to so many bad haircuts, I had lost faith in the profession. I could not believe that So many hairsylist do not know how to cut Men's hair! At last... ROBB! From the very first consultation, I immediatly felt at ease ,to know I was in the best hands. He Is the most consumate professional,as he takes his work very seriously. It was a wonderful experience ,to say the least. I've been searching for a salon that can work with any type of hair and although I found several that can style my hair, I had yet to find one that can both style and cut my hair the way I wanted. I have thick, wavy, long hair and had it cut and styled by Robb. I was very pleased with the results. He listened to what I wanted and explained what he was going to do. He took his time cutting my hair and blowing drying it straight and smooth. Trust me, this is no easy task! I never felt rushed and I simply love the cut. He's a fabulous stylist and very professional. A good cut goes a long way. Friendly and comfortable salon. I will definitely be back! more

When I moved to Studio City Ca, one of my biggest fears was going to a new salon. So scared in fact, that a flew across the country twice to go to my old stylist. What a relief it's been to find a great salon in the city I can call my own. I've recommended Robb to all my friends and haven't had one complain. Best hair stylist in LA 9/10/2006

Before going to Robb, I tried a few other places around LA. Besides the obvious high prices, I didn't think the stylists were that good. Not to mention--most of the personalities were just as bad as the talent.\r I found Hair By Robb on here and haven't lookd back. Robb cares about what I want my hair to look like but also helps make sure that it is a good choice for me. He is very talented, always gives me an excellent cut and is very personable - which makes a big difference when you have to sit tied down in a chair for long periods of time.\r If you are looking for a top-notch stylist, then schedule an appointment with Robb. Red Red Red 9/3/2006

Robb not only does the job, also spends time explaining to clients what he will do and how.I am a red hair, probably the most difficult color to achieve perfection. Robb explained that he never does just a single process,he hates flaming roots and boring ends. I watched several redheads at his salon,Robbs redheads are really a work of art! Hair colorists from most salons in studio City.. are always challenged by Reds, but Not for Robb! Robb explained that this is why the shade is the most important. Robb keep saying that a lot of people can wear red, and should be at least three colors incorporated to give the dimension and highlighting. Robb is the most amazing hair colorist! I had highlights done that are the most natural and striking at the same time. I get compliments on my hair by everyone. He was able to attain the mulit dimension color that you see in a child's hair that somehow gets lost as we age, I will never allow anyone else to ever do my hair, Robb is a truly talented professional. Best Consultation EVER! Look no further! 8/30/2006

I walked into Robb's salon after reading all of these incredible reviews and said, ""I need HELP!"" Another stylist was overlapping my blonde highlights which caused all my hair to break off and seriously thin out! In one year I lost almost 1/2 of my hair. It was frizzy and severely damaged to the point where I had to wear it in a ponytail every day. Robb recommended an incredible conditioning treatment that changed my hair in a matter of an hour and 1/2 to healthy! Now I'm going back for extensions to put the thickness back in my hair. He also touched up my roots and it looks beautifully natural. Best highlights I've ever had. I'm so HAPPY I found him. Totally reasonable prices too!!! I'd say what really stands out is his knowledge of hair and color. He truly explains everything and what he recommends totally works plus he is genuine and you can trust him right away. I've been looking to cut my long, thick hair for a while, and have been to several salons in Studio City that were just ok. I looked on Citysearch and came across Hair By Robb. All of the reviews were positive, so I decided to give it a try last weekend not knowing what to expect. Well, it is truly one of the best salons in Studio City. If you're looking for a salon with creative professionals.... that also happen to be warm and friendly and offer terrific service at very reasonable prices - look no further than Hair By Robb. Robb Ness, the owner of the salon, who did my color, could not have been better. He actually took me outside to see the color of my hair in natural light. He spent an incredible amount of time talking to me to find out exactly what kind of color and highlights I wanted, and then explained how he was going to achieve that. I am so happy with the results that I just had to write about it! Robb and his salon are clearly top notch professional who also happen to be great fun to be around. Hair by God. 8/15/2006

I moved to LA over a year ago, and would travel back to the New York to get my hair cut and colored. I just could NOT find a hair stylist in LA better than what I had back home. After doing my research, Hair by Robb kept coming up as the best in the area, so I called him up and made an appointment... I walked out of the salon feeling like a star, with color that was beyond perfect, and a cut that convinced me to drop my East coast stylist. I've never been THIS happy and pleased with a cut and color before. I'm hooked. Not only is he wildly talented, he's a gem of a person. Pros: Great cut, great color, great conversation. Everything. I have been telling everyone about my first experience at Hair By Robb salon and how I will not be looking any further to get my hair needs met. I recently had my hair foiled and cut by Robb and cannot say enough wonderful things about him and the salon in general. Robb's bubbly personality and genuine interest in what I was looking for was refreshing after some bad experiences at other top salons. The pride he took in his work, his knowledge and desire to give me the best experience and look.I admittedly have pretty high standards and can honestly say they were met at Hair By Robb. I have lived in the area for a year and a half, and never found any salon worth re-visiting. This time, I did a major search on the internet, and found this salon.(Hair By Robb) After reading the in depth web site information, I decided to give it a try. This salon definately offers something more than just a hair cut. I was completely surprised by the amount of consultation and understanding I was given. Robb definately know's color correction (from a previous home job), and I was amazed, and thrilled about the end result. This is a wonderful salon, and great bunch of designers. I love my Color now 7/21/2006

I went to Hair By Robb for the first time and i can't recommend it enough!!! I went to ANOTHER salon in Burbank and left with green hair. When I asked them to fix it they gave me a hard time and expected me to pay for it. Someone recommended Hair By Robb. My color came out beautiful. Robb talked with me on what he was planning on doing and made me feel completely relaxed. I have gotten so many compliments on it. I'm going back to get my haircut. And I can't wait... more

I visit the LA area 4-5 times a year. I used to travel to LA for the shopping...now I visit so that I can be pampered by Robb at Hair By Robb!!! Robb continously provides the best hair cuts. He LISTENS extremly well, knows how to give the best cut for your face shape/hair texture and is extremly skilled/talented. Try Robb once and you will be hooked! And Robb's... hands down the best colorist I have ever been to. My brunette hair always looks rich and super shiny...with just the right amount of subtle highlights for dimension.
