Very good sushi! 6/8/2006

The food is very good at Haiku. The only problem is parking. They have a few spaces out front, but they fill up fast. Street parking is scarce. more

Authentic, Excellet Service 4/6/2006

We visited Haiku last night for the first time for my husband’s birthday. We really enjoyed our visit, I called ahead to reserve seating, which they encouraged, but when we arrived at 6 on a Wednesday, we found they had plenty of seating. We order several items I would recommend including the Crunching Buckeye Roll, which includes pecans in the roll. I don’t think I have ever have nuts in a roll and I really like this, we also really enjoyed the Rock n’ Roll, it is primarily eel and very good. We also had the small plate calamari with vegetables and I’m not sure what the sauce was on top, but it was excellent, kind of sweet and sour. We both had sukitinis. I really like my peach one, but my husband wouldn’t recommend the purple haze unless you enjoy Robitussin with your meal. As a site note, we also enjoyed excellent service from a very well informed server. more

Nice ambience, great food 8/6/2005

Haiku is a fun place to go with excellent sushi. It's a bit more on the expensive side, but very good and well worth it. My favorite of the sushi is the Crunching Buckeye roll. All of their sushi is excellent, but a little pricey. I also enjoy the Haiku chicken a lot as an entree, the sauce is addicting! I think the Haiku chicken is only available at lunch, but they will make it for you at dinner if you ask. The ambience is nice, a little bit of new age meets asian. There are paintings of local artists up on the wall as well, which can be fun or a little bit weird at times, depending on what they have up. You can also order take-out as well, which is nice. One of my favorite places, you should definitely check it out. more

Excellent Japanese food 8/4/2005

We have been to Haiku several times and love it! My husband especially loves the sushi, but I am not a sushi fan myself so I usually get one of the noodle dishes. Everything I have ever ordered there has been delicious. The atmosphere is very unique and cozy and the staff have always been prompt. more
