Hackberry City

This has to be the worst set up of anything I have ever seen. Last summer we all got letters in the mail notifying us that the great old City of Hackberry are not doing proper testing on our water and there was fertilizer seepage, fecal mater and undetermined bacteria floating around in our water. We had to boil our water if we wanted to use it... It's disgusting and I cannot believe it has been allowed to go on for so long. When we got the letter I tried writing the local news groups to get some help considering we pay well up to $100-$200 a month for water I can get out of my toilet but never got a response. I can't believe we pay to be in a Frisco subdivision but get non of the perks... we live next to a trail park, our water has poop in it and the schools our kids go to are over crowded and getting shut down left and right. Just last year the elementary closed down, the principal of the middle school was fired for poor STARR test scores and 38% of the kids in the high school are not going to graduate this year... its public record. I keep hearing that we are going to be annexed into Frisco officially... we can only pray this happens soon. Until then, don't move here. more

Should have option for zero stars. City hall is a freaking trailer people?.Its the kind that can be hitched to a vehicle and moved in the middle of the night. Just wait for these criminals to steal whatever money they have and tow the trailer with them. It is true?the water service is the WORST...When the faucet does come on it smells HORRIBLE thus we don?t even let the dog drink it. These people need to be thoroughly investigated by the EPA because they should not be anywhere near something consumed by masses. Even more, new residences are required to give them a deposit of 2 months worth of water....$225.00 - Because they know they are illegally taking advantage of over 1,100 residences in a brand new community. EPA should come test this water and kick these remedial ""employees"" out of this town. Bring on the annex Little Elm/Frisco!! more

the city building is a freaking trailor. the water here is terrible. they are always ""fixing"" waterpipes everywhere. once they ""fixed"" it near my house only to break a pipe on my side of the water meter they were replacing... then told me it was my problem cuz it was on my side of the meter. i ended up paying to have it fixed. besides that... water is always cloudy if not rusty. and every single night around 8pm the water pressure drops to a drizzle. litterally. still paying full price for water... i need to save up for a well. Pros: no HOA Cons: town does not care more
