Best

I was blown away at how great everything was. I loved the food the exotic flavors so similar to my cuisine of choice Puerto Rican. I loved it all!!

Worst

I was there as part of a group. I've been there several times. The good part is the food was better than the last time I was there, > a year ago. Much of my family is Cuban, so...

Lechon Lovers Delight 5/18/2005

Each and everytime I go there I always get the same thing...the Lechon, slow roasted pork. But this time I need to be different. In short, I need to try different dishes because the waiters are getting to know me. They are always ordering the same dish for me. My fiance is the only one glad because I don't change and knows what to bring me for take out. There is a lot of food, and it all taste great judging from the reactions of the customer eating there as well. Our lunch was $30 with dessert. We will always eat there when possible and will streer friends to the place. It is the closest place to Cuba without leaving the country. Pros: Great Portions, Sangria, Wine Selection Cons: Closes too early more

From East to West 5/5/2005

A couple years ago I was in town for business and my office went to Habana Cuba for lunch. I had a Cuban sandwich to die for. The best I have ever had on either cost. The next night we went back for dinner. Each time I visit the area we stop in lunch, Dinner, live music and our west coast office now has them cater our events. I have made it mandatory for my local reps to take clients here at least once. I cant wait till my next trip West. Your food is addictive to say the least. Pros: Food, Variety, Authentic Cons: Music not every night more

Not a good impression 7/24/2004

The ad in the papers exaggerated about this place. For one, the plates and bowls that held the food reminded me of those served at cheap chinese restaurants because of the material it was made of and the blue designs that are indicative of chinese art. I had one of the vegetarian dinners; the rice was crunchy-- there were some dried grains; the veggies were bland and oversteamed. My partner liked the pork, though-- but not the price that came with it. I know of better Cuban restaurants out there and will skip this one the next time I get Cuban palette urges. Pros: the pork, large restaurant, live music Cons: , bad rice more

Too expensive, not very tasty 6/15/2004

I wanted to like this restaurant. I live near by, love Latin cuisine, and have heard good things about it. I have now tried it for the last time. The paella was too mushy, and had too much saffron. The pork was good, but I really didn't like anything else. For my money I would rather go to Cascal in Mountain View. Pros: location, staff, family friendly Cons: , atmosphere, size more

Friendly Place 5/26/2004

I am new to the area and this place reminds me of the local family restaurants in New York/New Jersey. Portions are big. The staff is very friendly. The place is very colorful with a festive atmosphere. I happened to go on a Wednesday night and there was even a salsa band. Good Sangria and the Lechon (pork) is terrific. Lots of tables for two. I am definitely going back. Pros: Large Portions, Friendly Staff, Great Sangria Cons: , waiting area more

Best since Miami 4/3/2004

I grew up around a large Cuban population in South Florida. I have to say this is the best Cuban restaurant I have been to since I left that area. Food is great, moderately priced. The only real annoying thing is the mariachi band. Pros: FOOD!, Sangria, Portions Cons: , Parking more

Makes My Mouth Water... 1/24/2003

I have been a fan of this restaurant for 16 years. The staff is very friendly. The food here is excellent! I would definitely recommend the Lechon a la Cubana and the Carne Asada. The meat is so tender you don't even need a knife. The tostones are delicious, too. My mouth is watering just thinking about the food. more
