My husband took me here for Valentine's Day. He made reservations for the dinner as a surprise. Neither of us are wine drinkers and were trying to find a wine that we would enjoy. We took the tour, which I'm sure would have been much more enjoyable when the grapes were in bloom. The wine tasting was not ""free"" as someone stated in one of their reviews. It was $5 for the tour and 4 tastings, which was reasonable. We actually tasted more of the wines so we paid a little more. When we went to dinner, it was downstairs in the cellar with a nice atmosphere and music. Our first course was a salad, which consisted of leafy greens with a Vinaigrette dressing that was OK, not great. The main course was Beef Wellington and mashed potatoes that was not very good. I didn't finish mine and waited on dessert, thinking it would be better because the couple sitting next to us had gotten their's and it looked delicious. I'm not sure what it was, but it was gross. It was some kind of thin wafer cookies with a chocolate mousse stuff in the middle and some kind of cream on top. It just did not taste good at all. Then the bill came. Over $100. I wanted to throw up. I don't mind paying that much for a good meal but this food was horrible and there wasn't much of it! My husband and I had been to Pappasito's the night before and had Lobster Tail, Shrimp Brochette, Beef and Chicken Fajitas, with beans and rice and chips and salsa...all of this for only $45 AND it was delicious! Not to mention we were full and couldn't eat all of it. I would go back to the Haak Winery for the wine tasting but NEVER for the food.
Pros: Wine Tour Was Nice
Cons: Food Was Horrible
