H&R Block

I recently had my taxes prepared at HR Block in Canon City. After having them prepared at other HR Block offices and receiving great service I was just as impressed with the local HR Block. Service was speedy and professional. The staff there was helpful and ensured that I got the maximum refund. They even ensured I got an extra $400 for the Making Work Pay credit! The enviroment was very relaxed and they had a nice place for my son to color and watch cartoons. My tax preparer asked me many questions to ensure they got the full picture concerning my taxes. They also reviewed line by line each detail about my Federal and State tax situation. Bottom line here is, they were thorough and complete. I would definately recommend this office to anyone who needs their taxes done correctly. I will be back next year, the peace of mind of having my taxes done right was well worth the cost of preparation! more

My husband and I had out taxes done here. We used H & R Block in our previous town, and loved it. We expected the same proficient, dependable quality at this location. It is neccessary for us to file along with our taxes a couple of extra forms in order to see a penny of our return. We were very specific in what we needed done for our taxes. The economy is making it increasingly difficult for families to maintain stability, beleive me, we wouldn't have left out a single detail about how to get our money back.\r The girl who did our taxes failed to submit the forms that needed to be submitted, and as a result, we did not recieve any or our return. When my husband questioned her, she said, ""Well, if you pay the $365 tax preparation fee"" (that was suppose to come out of our return) ""I can print you off the form and mail it in for you."" We couldn't even get a printed out copy of our tax documents. There was no attempt on their part to right the wrong in any way. We needed that money. We face eviction with our four kids in tow and vehicle repossesion. They could have cared less. Their mistake, and they had no desire to fix it, or even apologize for it. We counted on them, and they let us down; hard.\r Not ALL H & R Blocks are like this, but this one really did us wrong. We will not go back next year.
