The best hospital around 11/8/2005

Whether it has been myself or my children or friends Citrus Memorial is the hospital to go to. Very caring staff and very professional Dr.'s. My son has been admitted two times, I have been admitted a few times myself and the level of care that you get in this hospital is the highest you could ever ask for. My kids love to go the childrens waiting area where they can play or watch tv which helps the sometimes wait pass alittle faster PROS: Professional, awesome bedside manners from Dr.'s CONS: None more

Numerous visits, it's never great 11/6/2005

My grandmother has received very poor care here- and has been misdiagnosed more than a few times. She eventually had to go to Leesburg to get the right care. Emergency room visits for my husband have always taken a long time and pain medication wasn't given nearly quick enough. The staff in the ER also tends to get snippy very easily and you feel like you have to walk on eggshells if you want to eventually be taken care of properly. If you have a choice- spend the extra time to travel elsewhere for courteous quality care. more

excellent hospital 9/20/2005

My family members and I have been going to citrus memorial hospital for many years now, approximately eight years. Every time we've been there we recieved quality care from friendly, yet compassionate staff. Our family has been to that hospital for everything from bumps and bruises to liver cancer and heart attacks. The facility has up to date eqiptment, professionaly trained; friendly staff, and the hospital itself has always been clean and appeared to be sanitary. I would highly recommend this hospital to anyone needing medical attention. PROS: excellent service CONS: none more

Clean hospital 7/19/2005

This hospital has a huge waiting area, with a special room for kids, so they can watch some cartoons during their wait. Their facility is very clean, and organized. The wait isn't usually too long unless there has been some major emergency, there is usually only one doctor on staff, so things can get long. This is a spaceous hospital for such a small town.
