Many pets and many vets, but none like Dr. Wayne 10/21/2011

In my 55 years, I have had many pets and many vets. I have never had a vet as competent and caring as Dr. Wayne Wallis. Indeed, his entire staff of veterinarians and technicians are wonderful. They never rush you and on the second visit, they will not only know your name, they will know your dog or cat's name. Dr. Wallis saved my dachshund's life. He quickly diagnosed pancreatitis which is not usually an easy diagnosis to make. But for his skill, I'm convinced my dog would not have made it. You can't go wrong with this group. more

Rude and Uncaring 8/16/2011

Took my son's sick dog into the vet yesterday. Asked if he could make payments because like others and the economy he is down on his luck. The dog was extremely sick and they turned us away. REFUSED treatment even though he was willing to make payments. The dog died today and it's on these peoples hands. HOPE THEY ARE HAPPY. An innocent animal had to die because of money. Be proud of yourselves Gwinnett Animal Clinic... YOU SUCK! more

The best place to take your 4 legged family members 4/19/2011

I have been going to Gwinnett Animal Clinic for 32 yrs. My pets have never been anywhere else.. When you find the best you do not change. I never thought another Vet could be as wonderful as Dr.Wall, but then we started seeing Dr. Wallis after Dr.Wall's Death many years ago. He worked right along side with Dr Wall before he passed and Dr. Wallis is just like Dr Wall was. He is compassionate, loving, kind, an incredible vet/Dr. He treats his patients like they are his own and part of his family. I have lost too many of my Pets/family members over the 32 yrs that I have been going to Gwinnett Animal Clinic.. Dr. Wallis has been right there by our side. He has helped us thru the most difficult times with our pets. Times when I did not think I could make it through. Dr Wallis and his staff were right there with me/us. Listening, understanding, being so helpful. He is always available for me to talk to me about my concerns. If he is busy when I call he will call back.. He never more

He's simply the best 4/4/2011

I can't put into words how hightly I recommend Dr. Wallis. He's seen me through losing a chow I had for 13 years and cried right alongside me as we sent Harley to the Rainbow Bridge. I would never have gotten through that experience had it not been for Dr. Wallis and his staff. When I got a corgi after the death of my dogs, Dr. Wallis welcomed her into his office and made sure they had a bond as well. I only wish I could find a doctor for myself who showed this much compassion and professionalism for his patients.\r In terms of his fees, he's more than generous with what he charges. I've had vets before charge me nearly double what he charges in some cases. It was a blessing to find Dr. Wallis and I'd never even consider taking my pets to any other clinic. \r If you're looking for a vet who will give it to you straight, help you make difficult and informed decisions while still treating you with compassion and at the same time treat your animals as if they were his own, look no further. more

After several visits with another doctor my dog still had an awful infection on his snout that wouldn't go away. We tried several rounds of antibiotics and he had a biopsy which came back negative for a malignancy. After 3 months and $1000 they suspected MRSA. One visit to Dr. Wallis and he pinpointed the problem as an infected tooth. He removed the offending tooth and my dog is healing well. Dr. Wallis saved his life! I will never go to any other vet for any of my 3 animals. more

THANK YOU, DR. WALLIS 8/30/2010

Dr. Wallis cares for our pets with love and compassion. He cares for us as owners as well; comforting us when we have to have a pet put to sleep. This we have had to do several times, and it is heartbreaking, Dr. Wallis helps us through the sadness, and says that it is so painless for our dog, cat, or bunny, that he would wish we could all "go to sleep" so peacefully.\r \r Our pets do not complain about going to the doctor any more.\r \r We have been to other clinics in Lawrenceville before our neighbor told us about GAC; we are so grateful!\r \r Thank you, Dr. Wallis and staff. more

Great Clinic!! 7/2/2010

What do you have when you have a great vet in a pristine clean clinic with the best prices in town? A keeper!!! Pros: Very affordable! Cons: none at the moment more

First cat first Vet visit 1/26/2010

Dr. Griffin. She realized I was frantic and wondering what on earth could be wrong with my cat - who wound up vomiting and peeing outside his litter box. She did a check-up just to make sure all was well, and then asked and confirmed each procedure before she went ahead and did it. I just felt like she was genuine and really cared about how I was feeling about my pet. She reassured me that it wasn't something serious and that the meds should have him feeling better soon. I'll be back for his yearly checkup here at this clinic. Pros: they liked my cat - trated himm with patience Cons: front desk person could be more personal - maybe bad day more

Gwinnett Animal Clinic Dr.Wallis is brilliant! 9/16/2009

I wish that I could find a 'personal physician' for my family that is as good, caring and professional as Dr.Wallis is. I would trust him with MY health! more

Excellent Care! 6/24/2009

I've been bringing my cats to the clinic for 24 yrs. GAC gives excellent medical care and loving attention to the animals as well as being empathetic to the humans. Their charges are fair and many times less than what I hear other vets charge. I am an RN, so I recognize responsible and competent care. Excellent!! Mary W. more

The BEST Vet! 5/18/2009

We called today to make an appointment, but they said "just come on in." The staff is very nice. They didn't try to sell me anything... just took care of my dog's problem. She snagged her dew claw over the weekend. The doctor removed it (no problem-no blood & will grow back fine) and gave us some antibiotics AND even trimmed all her nails - all for just under $50! We love this vet! No nonsense. So happy to find this place after years of trial & error. // A few years back I called a different place who said their office could evaluate and test my cat who was carrying ringworm (to our toilet seats) to see if I diagnosed her correctly for around $400. Of course, it would cost extra to treat her but they couldn't determine the additional amount until after I paid the $400. (I just ended up rubbing some ringworm cream on her paw pads and it went away for under $10.) more

Finally....the right vet! 10/22/2008

We have lived in this area for over 4 years now and finally have found a vet that knows what they are doing, charges a reasonable price and truly cares for the animals. We had two dogs that had been rescued five years ago and were ready to go that route again but would not do it until we found the right vet. Well, we found them. One of our new dogs came to us with kennel cough and they have been great with her. So Dr. Wallis ad Dr. Cook are tops in my book and I am happy to recommend them to anyone who loves their animals and wants a caring and reasonably priced clinic to care for them. more

5 STARS 8/30/2008

This summer, I had a 3 year old dog who was very ill and after not getting much help or advise from my current vet, I called Gwinnett Animal Clinic at the urging of my sister. They gave me a huge discount on ultrasound of my dog and were very caring and concerned both about my dog and about my love for my dog. In the end we had to put her down and they did so with a wonderful balance of both compassion and professionalism. As of yet I have not received a bill for that service. I now have a new puppy and she will be going next week for her first check-up at Gwinnett Animal Clinic. more

Hometown vet... 8/15/2008

I took my new addition, Emma, to the Gwinnett Animal Clinic and was very impressed. It reminded me of a good 'ole hometown place of business. The offices were very clean and the prices affordable. Dr. Jess Griffin is Emma's new veterinarian and she did an awesome job. :) The front office staff was also very helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend the clinic to anyone looking for a friendly, affordable place to take their pets. more

Solid provider of quality pet care - I would highly recommend them! 7/31/2008

We've been with them for several years - over time we took a dog, a couple of pet rats and now 2 cats. There building is modest but it is well maintained and the care of the animals is FIRST rate at a very fair price. We have boarded our dog there previously and all was great. We had first used another vet but then came across GAC (Gwinnett Animal Clinic) and have not been interested in going anyplace else. more

Great people! Great Prices! 7/22/2008

I first took my basset to them at the recommendation of a co-worker (who has multiple pets) because of rising prices at my former vet's practice. I was impressed by their dedication, efficiency and modest prices. Last week, I took my basset and my mother's poodle there for yearly shots, heartworm tests and yearly exam. The bill when I walked out was less for 2 dogs that it usually was at my former vet's for one dog. Same great service, *2* healthy dogs, smaller bill - no brainer! more

Excellent vet care at excellent LOW prices 7/10/2008

This clinic is wonderful!!! I have seen all of the vets here with my 4 dogs and always have a good experience. And they price everything reasonably so I feel that I can take good care of my animals without paying a fortune. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!! more

My experience 4/7/2008

I took my puppy here for her first shots. I was greeted coldly and clinically by the entire staff. Most people cannot help but 'Ooo' and 'Aww' over a puppy but the staff at GAC were all business. I was offered my first smile from the attending vet. She was nice and thorough but It seemed to me that these people are not in vetinary medicine because they love or even like animals. Unfortunately for them that is very important to me. She is now due to be spayed but I will be taking her 30 miles away to my old vet because I have confidence in the fact that they will treat her like she is their baby too like they have with my 7 other dogs. There has got to more to caring for these extensions of your family than price. more

GREAT VET AT A GREAT VALUE 2/4/2008

Like the first reviewer, I was previously using a higher-priced vet that I had selected primarily based on proximity to my house. A few months after losing my first pet (a Beagle), I rescued a German shepherd-mix from the shelter that I soon discovered would require double-hip surgery. At that time, I decided to obtain a 2nd opinion (and cost estimate) from Dr. Wallis at the Gwinnett Animal Clinic based on a friend's recommendation. (That friend, by the way, had also previously used the same former clinic that I was still patronizing.) While Dr. Wallis concurred with the need for surgery, his costs were roughly HALF that of my former vet. Needless to say, I transferred my pet's care to his facility and have never looked back. All of his staff is quite personable (in addition to professional), something that could not be said about all of the personnel at my former vet. Also, my experience when putting my Beagle to sleep at the former vet was less than ideal. While I won't name the fo more

THANK YOU DR WALLIS 10/2/2007

I needed a different vet. I have four rescued dogs and want to give them the best care:however, the vet I was using..although extremely good and office staff polite...was quite expensive with notable, but not particularly needed immunizations and lab work ...was getting to be just so much money. Plus they charge a little extra money for their Rx dog foods. THEN I FOUND GWINNETT ANIMAL CLINIC. SO WONDERFUL WITH REASONABLE PRICES. DR WALLIS IS SO PERSONABLE AND INFORMATIVE. THEY DO NOT CHARGE YOU YOUR WHOLE LIFE SAVINGS FOR A VISIT AND THE FRONT OFFICE STAFF IS ALWAYS KIND TO YOU ALSO. more
