Like the first reviewer, I was previously using a higher-priced vet that I had selected primarily based on proximity to my house. A few months after losing my first pet (a Beagle), I rescued a German shepherd-mix from the shelter that I soon discovered would require double-hip surgery. At that time, I decided to obtain a 2nd opinion (and cost estimate) from Dr. Wallis at the Gwinnett Animal Clinic based on a friend's recommendation. (That friend, by the way, had also previously used the same former clinic that I was still patronizing.) While Dr. Wallis concurred with the need for surgery, his costs were roughly HALF that of my former vet. Needless to say, I transferred my pet's care to his facility and have never looked back. All of his staff is quite personable (in addition to professional), something that could not be said about all of the personnel at my former vet.
