We go through Hays quite often and always try to stop at Gutierrez Mexican restaurant. They have great food simply put! The margaritas alone would be worth the drive! They are fantastic! the service is really world class. the place is clean, the prices are very reasonable. I will return here again and recommend it also. more

Best Mexican Food in Hays 11/5/2008

Gutierrez has the best Mexican food in Ellis County. I highly recommend their margaritas (they have many flavors). Bravo Coffee Bar is attached and offers amazing smoothies. more

Gutierrez Mexican Restaurant 6/8/2005

Gutierrez is a favorite spot to go out to eat for special events and for everyday. The food is great and there is a wide variety. This is one of the few resteraunts in Hays that does serve alcohol if you like it. When you sit down they bring you a basket of chips and salsa and keep bringing it as long as you want...the only problem is sometimes you fill up before the meal arrives! And you wouldn't want to miss that! The atmosphere is great and during the peak hours there is always a line waiting to get in. more
