Guitar Center

We're neighbors to the north of this Guitar Center, but have been to the Edina store as well....and had more help than I knew what to do with! Whether by phone or in person in the stores, the guys have been GREAT....and more PATIENT with my lack of knowledge than any other place I had checked for equipment and music....including bass guitars, strings, amps, music, especially sound equipment....THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS MUSIC JOURNEY DO-ABLE AND EVEN FUN! One suggestion.....don't walk into ANY STORE and expect them to ""do your homework for you!"" READ UP ON WHAT YOU'RE LOOKING FOR so they really CAN help you when you get there! GREAT WORK GCs!! Don't let their title fool you - Guitar Center has much more than guitars. And with a department for each one of your music needs, you'll be covered for life! PROS: wide selection of gear CONS: ignorant employees, price more

Guitar Center is a chain music store which carries beginer to high-mid level instruments and gear. It can be an okay place to buy some things, but their staff is often known for being unknowledgeable about much of the gear they sell. Also, often a high pressure sales enviroment. I'd rather support 'mom and pop' stores that often will go the extra mile to help you with any problem that arises. more

The salesmen at the store are terrible. They sold me a piece of hardware for my computer, and when I bought it, they told me that I could stop in any time and they'd help me figure it out. Well I had no idea they were only saying that to make a sale. I brought in the hardware and no one had enough time to help me. I'm pretty disgusted Pros: Selection, Location Cons: , Overpriced more
