Total Jerks 2/25/2011

I hate this Guitar Center, in fact, this one in particular has ruined the chain for me, I now find local shops to support, even if I have to pay a little more. The staff is rude, and a bunch of moron kids that have no idea what they are talking about, and unless your buying a 2000 dollar guitar, they have no interest in dealing with you. I bought a 200 dollar guitar there early this year to mess around with (I own a collection of guitars, I wanted this one to just play around with different sounds), the staff actually said to me ""Look, I ain't lookin for this all day"", then stopped looking for my guitar. I also play ukelele, and the staff are @ssholes when it comes to playing anything but guitar. When I bought a new uke there, they just sighed and were very rude to me at the checkout. I've dropped off instruments to be repaired, since I really don't have the time to do repairs myself, and I've had staff comments such as ""do it yourself"" Guitar Center is notorious for having a terrible staff, this store is the mother load of ignorant moronic employees. I'd go to a local music store and support them, (MusicGoRound is a great one), even buy online. Anything but Guitar Center, at least this one. more

Mr. 10/22/2010

As a new customer and a beginner guitar player, I found the service at Guitar Center Colorado Blvd. location to be friendly, prompt and courteous. The store itself is outfitted with a wide variety of high end musical items and accessories. With so much inventory and competitive pricing, you?d expect sales knowledge, product information and technical knowledge to be top notch, and it is. J. Sorenson more

Terrible 2/20/2010

Worst stores in town. Horrible service. Terrible for the local economy as you are supporting a giant corporation when you shop there. more

none 1/13/2010

It was almost 7 pm. I was coming from work and I did not have too much time to go to a different store but I had to buy my son a guitar for his next day guitar lesson. The customer service was terrible. Nobody really wanted to help us. Secondly, I have never heard such a thing like if you buy a copyright item, you won't be able to get a refund for it. more

Guitar Center is an idiot circus 10/14/2009

I attempted to order a guitar from them at the beginning of October. The employee took my name and number down and said he would call when the guitar was in. I called a week later and another employee said he could not check the order progress unless I new the name of the employee that had helped me before and told me "If he told he ordered it than it is on its way". I call back in another week(2 weeks now) and speak to a third employee who tells me that the order was never placed. The only employee that seemed to care that I wanted to buy a guitar from them was the final employee I talked to, but it was to late by then. I will never even step foot in that store again it was like pulling teeth from the get go more

Guitar Center 8/16/2009

The customer service at Guitar Center is horrible, I was there looking to buy a guitar for my son's birthday but I didn't get any assistance. So I left and I want be back. I will order online or at another music store. But they have a variety of awesome instruments. more

Guitar Center in Englewood 11/22/2008

My husband and I went to the Guitar Center in Englewood looking for a nice keyboard. The sales people are knowledgable, but we felt like they were trying to make an extra buck off of us. If you are trying to get the best value for your buck, they won't show you that. There was a nice man who was a customer that had a lot of knowledge with the keyboards, and he spent about an hour showing us how to records our stuff and what keyboards that would get the job done. He was a musician who had a lot of knowledge. It's pretty sad when the customer helping you cares more about you than the salesman. They are all young kids. Well, the whole time he was talking to us the sales people (all 6 of them) were getting upset and shaking their heads like they were mad. They were trying to interrupt us several times asking us if we had any questions for them, and of course we didn't. I do not recommend this place to buy anything. They do not work off of commission but they do get a nice bonus off of what they sale. more
