I was just looking for soup and a sandwich close to home and stumbled on a pleasant surprise at Gubanc's Pub. It was Thursday eve, and the soup of the day was broccoli/cheese. Even though the interior ambiance spoke quite and slightly upscale, I was still expecting warm canned soup. Instead, I was served a deliciously cheesy soup with fresh steamed broccoli within and floating on the top with grated cheese. Smooth and creamy. I also chose the Reuben sandwich on sourdough, rather than on the dark rye, as noted on the menu. It was delectable when served with an "Emmentel (flavorfully smooth) Swiss Cheese" and tastefully prepared thousand island spread piled with Corned Beef and the prefect amount of sauerkraut. Yummy! A wonderful experience for under $10. Simply a very pleasant experience. I will definitely be back with my wife to try some of the other sumptuous sounding dinner entrées. We can't wait!
