Groomingdale's

I have been taking my dogs to Groomingdales for the past ten years. Service is very quick, more than one person works on the dogs together. No waiting three hours and the poor pooch wants to go home. Groomingdales does not cage dry, nor crates the dogs unless there is an agression issue. My dogs love to go there and I've seen first hand how pampered they are. They always look and smell wonderful! Highly recommended. more

A lady I know went there...but not any more, the dog's ear was severely cut in half!!! more

Past patrons should consider themselves lucky they got their pets back without serious injury! Take it from someone who knows first hand...the owner Kathy, starts drinking at about 3pm while on the job and drinks herself into a stupor every evening! Believe me...rudeness and incompetence is the least of her worries! more

I used to take my cat to Groomingdale's, but after my last experience with them, I changed groomers. The groomer was in a hurry I suppose since it was Friday. She called and let me know he was ready to be picked up and I let her know I was on my way. I was on my way there, and not 5 minutes after she called the first time, she called again and asked me rather rudely if someone was coming to pick the cat up because they were closing for the day. I got there and paid, only to see there were 4 other dogs waiting to be picked up. I got to my car and took my cat out of his carrier to find he was soaking wet on his stomach. She didn't even dry him! He could have gotten sick especially with the cold weather. more

It was time to take my Himalayan kitten to get groomed since he was starting to resemble a dust ball. I had gotten the recommendation from my sister to take him to Groomingdales. I made an appointment and dropped my kitty off the next day. About noon I get a call from Groomingdales saying my cat was done, so I told the lady I'd be there in 10-15 minutes (we live about 10 minutes away). I load the kids in the car to pick him up. About 5 minutes later, I get another call from Groomingdales asking if someone was going to be picking up the cat soon because they were closing. I had already told the same woman I'd be there and it had only been 5 minutes! So we get there and my poor kitty was still wet and was shivering and there was still 3 dogs waiting to be picked up! Maybe if she had taken the extra time to dry him, instead of being in a hurry to finish and get him done she would have gotten a better rating and a repeat customer. But instead, she didn't do the greatest job grooming him and I will be looking for a new groomer. She charged me $30 to bath my cat and to shave his stomach area. A little overpriced in my opinion more
