Worst service ever. Waited 20 minutes for our drinks. I was finally getting up to get them myself when the waiter finally came by and I was able to ask for our drinks. \r \r My sister ordered a burger and made a point of stating that she wanted it cooked all the through and did not want any pink in the middle of the burger. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich.\r \r After another 20-25 minute wait the food finally came. I could understand if the place was busy but it was not.\r \r After being served, I noticed that he did not bring any napkins or silverware. We had to ask for them.\r \r My sister cut her burger in half to make it easier to eat. The burger was very pink in the middle and my pulled pork was not pulled pork. It was more like cubed pork. It was very dry and everything was cold. \r \r My sister had her plate at the edge of the table and hadn't eaten anything off of it. It was another 10 minutes before he came by to check to see if everything was OK.\r \r He did offer to make a quick wrap for her but she told him we were now in a time crunch and we didn't have time to wait for food. Even after he was notified of our time situation, he did not return with the check. We waited as long as we could and I finally put 20.00 on the table and we walked out. I don't care if it was enough to cover our bill or not. \r \r This was my second time dining there. My first experience was just as bad but was told that it was a fluke. I thought I would give them a second chance. I was wrong and I will Never eat there again. more

NEVER GO HERE! This place use to be one of the best places in the cultural district to get dinner before a show, but under the new ownership, it is HORRIBLE! Long story short- THE WORST SERVICE IN PITTSBURGH! DON'T WAIST YOUR TIME OR MONEY- IT WILL ONLY RUIN A NICE NIGHT OUT IN A BEAUTIFUL CITY!!! But if you want to know the whole story.....\r \r We called with reservations for 9 people and they told us we should be there at 6 for an 8pm show, so we were there at six and had our orders in by 6:20. At 7pm half of us still didn't have drinks or silverware, let alone salads or appetizers. When I went and found our waiter to inform him of this he said he would be over soon, and another female server intervened and got him moving. He came back about 15 minutes later with some of our food. Most of the salads didn't have dressings, and we still didn't have silverware or drinks. When I then went to ask for the manager I was blown off by another server. Luckily, the female server who helped me before helped me find the manager, who was currently dealing with another table who had complaints. When I tried to explain the situation to the manager he cut me off and told me he had other table to take care of and he would be over. I had to ask for him 4 more times before he showed up. When our food showed up at 7:30, it was all wrong, but we all ate a few bites so we would have something in our stomaches before the show, but left most of the food sitting. The manager finally came over, and I explained the situation and told him we did not expect to have to pay for such a horrible meal. He said I just had to be understanding of the service because they were short staffed. He said we could go up to the bar and see what he could do about the bill. In the end he refused to take more than 40% off the bill and told us we shouldn't have eaten if we didn't want to pay. (Which I understand, but most of us didn't eat!) He called me ignorant (not used correctly at all) when I never raised my voice, called names, or anything. We finally paid, although the lovely female server came and told us to just walk out (like three other families had while we were there!). I returned after the show to leave a message for the owner, I also called the restaurant multiple times in the next few days with no return call. I would never recommend this place to anyone. The sooner it goes out of business, the better. more

Make sure that you check your credit card. My waiter gave himself an extra tip. I guess he erased my writing, and put down what he wanted. I am still trying to get my money back. I think that after all this time, they should comp the entire amount. more

Flavorful taste sensations 3/12/2008

We have eaten there several times and always enjoy the food. The chef goes out of his way to create taste sensations. The portions are flavorful and generous. The waitstaff is very knowlegable of the menu and if they are unsure, they will find out for you. I can't wait to join them again for dinner before the next show we will be attending next week. Pros: flavorful and generous portions Cons: not a menu for small children more

Great steak! 7/24/2002

For the money, the steak and filet mignon are the best in Pittsburgh. Better than the top two steak joints! Try it, you won't be disappointed! more
