There are few businesses I've encountered that I would never do business with them again, but Griffin Brothers(University Location) certainly earned this designation! I don't know...

Not super speedy, but I have always spontaneously called on them for my needs. They are thorough, professional and very competitive in pricing. They respond to price quoting immediately; something I can't say about the big corporate owned tire and service centers. Keep up the good work! more

There are few businesses I've encountered that I would never do business with them again, but Griffin Brothers(University Location) certainly earned this designation! I don't know which was worse, their poor workmanship or their total lack of responsibility and accountability. Do not be fooled by the good customer service facade given by the front desk staff. more

They were so awesome 11/9/2010

Great service! My truck started having electrical problems Friday night, they took me in as a walk-in Saturday morning, no problem. Truck was fixed and returned in a matter of hours. Even replaced a part that my local Nissan dealership was unable to provide. Neil at the front counter was very friendly and helpful. Honest work/pricing and friendly service. Highly recommend. more

Makes it great when you don't have a reservation 11/1/2010

Can recommend without reservation: i only had an oil change but these fellows were very professional, friendly, and prompt. they offered bottled waters (or other soft drinks as preferred) and a clean waiting room. i will definitely return when my cars need services. more

Visit them when i need car maintenance 10/25/2010

These boys are the best. The store is clean with plenty of seating, a toy room for children, free sodas and coffee for customers, television and current reading material. The sales team and mechanics have helpful and positive attitudes. After getting a report from another car maintenance shop that I needed multiple things fixed and replaced, I took my car to Griffin Brothers, where they checked it for free and found nothing wrong. The only thing that needed fixing was a mistake the other maintenance shop made while doing my oil change, and they took the time to fix that for free as well! Wonderful, honest, and talented guys. Visit them often! more

Best cars guys I've ever encountered. 10/12/2010

Was traveling and needed professional opinion on an issue with my car. Scheduled a inspection at Mooresville location. Store was super clean. Service was prompt and thorough. Despite knowing that I was traveling and they wouldn't be getting any future business, they waived all fees after determining there was a problem that required me taking the car back to the original dealer. Best cars guys I've ever encountered. I only wish they had a location near my home town. more

Happy customers for 14 years 10/4/2010

We have been going to them at this location for 14 years. They have never mislead us and have even taken the car elsewhere for us because that place could fix it cheaper. The couple of problems we have had, were always fixed and appropriate changes in the bill were made. We think this particular location is great. more

There are better places to purchase tires 8/13/2008

I would not recommend this place based on other online reviews and personal experience. The staff is not knowledgeable or courteous. The prices are high and they consistently quote tire prices with add-on packages without disclosing that information. The place is clean and that is the best I can say about them. Pros: Clean Cons: Unknowledgeable Staff, poor selection, above market prices more

Great service & trustworthy 11/20/2007

The folks at Griffin Bros (N Tryon - University City) have been taking care of my family's vehicles for over 10 years. They are amazing! They have gone out of their way to help us in the various ""jams"" we have been in with our vehicles. I trust them enough that I was comfortable with them driving my daughter home after she dropped off her car for new tires! Their work is thorough and high-quality. They always provide options for service - especially with big ticket times. They are respectful, friendly and provide outstanding customer service! I wouldn't dream of taking our vehicles anywhere else. more
