The Greyhound buslines have been thoroughly misunderstood and understated. I know the buses can be crampy and not to clean, but decent. But in these tough economic time and especially with increasing plane fares, airline delays. I would rather relax and let them do the driving. The drivers are all very professional. They can't help it if anybody and everybody concieveable rides the bus. Most people look down on riding the Greyhound bus lines and the people who ride them. But , I came to really thank God for Greyhound especially in an emergency when I had to leave town for an important event and wasn't able to get a plane ticket no matter what price. Greyhound Buslines is on a mission, not just to help provide a decent traveling service to those deserving and not able to travel via air. But it upholds the right of all Americans to get where we need to, especially if we don't have it to pay. So be nice when you ride a Greyhound, and stop complaining so much. would you rather spend hours in an uncomfortable airport waiting to fly first class?? , or see the beaming and happy faces of colleagues and people who needed you to be present at that meeting or all important family event and didn't mind getting there nomatter how? And just think of all the gas we are saving . Going Greyhound means going green......It's a sure bet, just ask students, or the elderly,or the halt and the lame. Like I said....you might find yourself in a pinch to be somewhere and like a good friend Greyhound will always be there. A grateful SAvvy Syracuse greyhound traveler. tips : bring you lunch, avoid expensive sodas and sandwiches in the terminals. Sit in the front of the bus near the driver. Especially if you are a female riding alone. Stay away from the rowdies that tend to ride the back of the buses...Use the restroom at clean rest stops. Bye bye!!!
Pros: New Station is very nice and well lit and clean most times.
Cons: High priced meals, long lines, sometimes reps aren't too friendly. A lot of Amish around.
