Acceptable service, but they charged me $382 for a part that retails for $220 from the manufacturer, and sells for between $120 and $150 on the first ten links I found on a http://bing.com search. That's a 73% mark-up over retail, and a 155% mark-up over the internet's going price. I don't mind paying a little extra for good service, but that is straight up price gouging (My car died on the way into work, so I had no alternatives to Greg's after I got it to limp into their shop.) more

Terrible Service. I had my rear brakes adjusted at Greg's Japanese auto. Later, I found out that they left some metal pieces in the drum which damaged both the drum and the shoe. In addition, the brake shoe anchor was also bent due to excessive force that they used. When I contacted them about this, they denied that it was their fault and claimed it was a brake hardware failure even though the loose metal pieces were not part of the brake hardware. To add further insult to injury, they offered to repair the damage if I were willing to pay for it. I highly advise staying away from them. more

Great customer service, explained everything before working 3/25/2008

I went in because my brakes were not right. The rep explained what they would do for the inspection (which is on special / free right now) and then said they'd call me before doing any work. I was able to rent a car from Enterprise at a discount so I didn't have to take the bus to work. I got a call right after arriving at work and the rep explained exactly what they found and what they recommended breaking out each cost. After addressing all my questions and concerns he asked what I wanted to have done and advised me on what could wait. I am extremely happy. I really dislike car repairs but this wasn't as bad bc I got to choose what was to be fixed and knew the costs up front. I will be using them for my services from now on, they definitely take the time to explain what's going on, what's urgent and what's not. Pros: Great location, thorough, very efficient, very professional, quick. Cons: None. more

complete rip-off 12/4/2007

I brought my car to these guys becuase they quoted me a low price for a scheduled service and then when my wife goes to pick it up, the charges are more then twice what they quoted. They claim it was addtional work like ""full fuid flushes"" that the manufacturer does not recomend but they felt it was needed so they went ahead and did it. Classic bait and switch to low-ball the price to get cars in and then do a bunch of unneeded mystery work to jack the price up. DON'T GET SUCKED INTO THIS SCAM. Pros: GOOD LOCATION Cons: Classic scam artist auto shop - bait and switch rip off more

Thank god for Greg's 8/19/2005

When another auto shop said that my whole engine was ruined after they did some work on my car, i took my car to Greg's in Bellevue. There Steve and the toyota tech worked hard to find the problem which ended up being a shotty job by the other car shop on my timing belt. Steve was honest, kind and knowledgeable with me. He explained every possible situation and what exactly was going on with my car. The other repair shop said it would be 3,000 dollars to fix my car. Steve and the guys at your shop fixed my car for 800 dollars and saved a poor college student a nervous breakdown and hundreds of dollars. I can't thank them enough. It's refreshing knowing that there are honest people left in the car repair industry. more

Stereotypical Mechanic Shop 6/10/2004

Greg's ""fixed"" my Acura which was idling low. 2 months later, my car dies on the road. Greg's took it back and said I needed to have 3 engine coils replaced. The first time I brought the car in, Greg's ""checked"" the engine coils and the statement shows the coils were checked and no issues were identified. Greg's quoted me $600 for the fix. I called Acura and they quoted me $450. In taking it to Acura, they happily informed me that only 1 engine coil needed to be replaced. Pros: Convenient Locations Cons: , Expensive, Problem not fixed more
