Since moving back to Oregon about a year ago, we hadn't had many chances to eat out at a nice restaurant. We had family in town on the first nice weekend in the summer and decided to eat at Greg's to enjoy the view and the concert across the river.
We made reservations for six and hoped to enjoy a pleasant evening out on the patio at Greg's. When we arrived, our reservation was not in the book, and it took the staff over a half hour to figure out what happened to it. We were finally seated, and then avoided for another twenty minutes, until a server took our drink order, which included a couple beers, a mixed drink and two diet sodas. All but one of our drinks were fouled up, and it took another fifteen or twenty minutes for the staff to correct that and take our food order. Our food did arrive promptly, but three of our orders were wrong, and my steak was room temperature at best. We spoke with a manager who acted like he refused to believe that we were being truthful and did nothing to compensate our unpleasant night. (We ate at Shari's a few weeks later, our food took twenty minutes and it was free, which we didn't even ask for).
I would not recommend anyone going to this restaurant. Many people I have talked with have had similar experiences. Go around the corner to the nice little Italian restaurant. They have a wonderful staff and the food is much more reasonably priced and tastes great. Stay away from Greg's!
