Greenwell, Lee Ann, Dvm - Spears Animal Hospital

As a professional in the animal industry I have used MANY veterinary clinics for various purposes. I was incredibly impressed with my experience at Spears Animal Hospital and with Dr Greenwell. Last week my German Shepherd became suddenly and seriously ill. We called our regular vet who was unable to see us. Because of the urgency of the situation we opened up the yellow pages and began calling around to every vet clinic. It was 11:30 at night and every place we called refused to see us because we were not an "established client". We explained that while we undertstood this policy, our dog was critical, and our "established clinic" was unable to see us. When we called Spears' emergency phone Dr. Greenwell called us back right away. She asked about our dogs condition and agreed to see us in 15 minutes! By this time it was past midnight. I actually called up Spears looking for a place for my dog to stay during Spring Break. All of the other kennels were full. Spears put me on a wait list and told me that they'd call back by 10 a.m. the next morning to let me know either way, as they were sure my dog would get in. That night, I got a call at 7:00 p.m. letting me know that I got in. \r I took my dog there the next afternoon. My dog has a little separation anxiety, as I got him from the pound. The staff was VERY VERY friendly. They gave me a tour of the place and let me walk my dog back to the kennel (he would not go back there without me). They showed me exactly where he would be staying. The even encouraged me to bring things for him. \r The staff was very very nice and my dog seemed to like the kennel. They give a complementary bath at the end of the stay and a report card. I am going out of town next week, and this will be the first place I call! more

They treated my dog as a patient, very friendly. They tended to leave me out in the cold a bit, paying little attention to her owners. They provided great service to our dag when she needed stitches. A little pricey, but quick to get into. more
