Greensboro Housing Authority

I have been trying to add my husband on the case since February. The lady at the front desk at Ogden street is very rude. I have called and left messages with her on numerous occasions. I have called other housing agencies and no response. I have reached out to portability to see if she can provide me with my case worker name and number. she responded but when I gave her my last name when she asked I still not heard anything. When I finally got a hold of someone else at the front desk she was rude but she gave me what I needed. When reaching out to my caseworker I express how upset I was just for her to tell me other things are needed for my husband and there is no extension given. Here we are on Friday and she needs everything by Monday. Why am I going through this when I'm doing the right thing by adding my husband so we wouldn't have issues? It seems like we are going through more things just by adding him on. more

My experience at this particular location has been HORRIBLE! They are very RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL from the front desk to the caseworkers! They talk to you like you are stupid and uneducated. I moved to Greensboro NC 6/03/15 and wanted to move when my lease is up 6/03/16 but was told relocation class is sometime November. And I can not move until the end of December!! Does this make SENSE!! more

The Employees of GHA are some of the most racist people that I have ever been around. How ironic that they help the minorities and poor people in Greensboro. From what I personally witnessed, they can't stand to be around them and the white men who work for GHA refer to the tenants by every derogatory word in the book. Disgusting group of high paid puppets for Tina Brown. Disgusting. All of them, with the exception of the property managers who really do seem to enjoy the difficult jobs they do without any thanks. more

I have a section 8 tenant and I am very familiar with the housing authority of Greensboro. The money is always paid on time and is the exact amount without any problems. The people that work in the office sometimes seem a little harried when you call though, and you can be put on hold for a long time. Other than how busy it is, they pay on time. more
