My granddaughters both graduated from UNCG and the ceremony was held at the Greensboro Coliseum. It is a huge place and I felt like I could never find anything. ALso, the seating for handicapped people was not terrific. I have trouble getting around and I had a hard time finding a place to sit with the rest of the family that was not handicapped. And if you want something to drink, for get it. The prices are too high. more

huge, nice arena 8/18/2005

The Greensboro Coliseum is a gigantic indoor arena right in the middle of Greensboro. I've attended everything from Springsteen concerts to ACC basketball tournament games there, and never had a bad seat. Prices for concessions are no more horrible there than at any other large arena, and the whole place seems bright and new. Easily as good as the RBC center in Raleigh. more

  • In Short
Built in 1959, this arena has been around long enough to host a young Elvis Presley, but more recently you might have caught the Backstreet Boys or Jimmy Buffett here. Thanks to several million dollars' worth of restoration in the mid-'90s, you'd never guess the arena's age. The work went well beyond a fresh coat of paint and included expansion to a full-house capacity of 23,500, with a variety of seating options for events on the ice, the court or concert stage.
