fun fun fun 4/4/2006

The Greensboro Children's Museum is a great place to go on a rainy afternoon! There are so many areas that keep the kids entertained. The only hard part is taking more than one child, because they want to go in two different directions! The membership is quite pricey. A great place to check out! more

Great place to have fun 3/30/2006

The Greensboro Children's Museum is an amazing and fun-filled place. My son's favorite items in the museum are the following: the fire engine and the airplane cockpit. Both of those items are NOT child size models. These are the real things!! There's a child size grocery store, fully stocked with miniature grocery carts and cash registers. They have a puppet area, drama area, music area, post office, pretend bank (with working ATM that gives you play money), a sand play area, construction area, and a whole lot more. I love the fact they have an area set aside for the 2 and under crowd -- filled with age appropriate toys and activities for that age range of children. Admission price is reasonable with discount times on Friday night and Sunday. Membership is definitely worth the cost. Staff is helpful and friendly. Parking is free and usually plentiful. more

Great Place 12/25/2005

This is a wnderful museum for children, if you ahve kids you know that they long to have hands on trips to museums, when the traditional museum is too traditional, try the kids museum. they can learn lots about the world around them and have a great time doing it. The museum has a young fun staff and is located pretty easy to find in downtown greensboro. A cool place. more

Children's Museum 9/22/2005

This is the coolest place on earth for kids, and it made me wish we had something like this when I was young. We took my little neice in for an afternoon and we amazed. We expected something much smaller than what we actually witnessed. They had a full sized fire truck and police car, a television taping area so that you could be a newscaster, a full construction area, a full supermarket that you could actually fill your basket and ring up the purchases, and so much more. I played with her and had just as much fun...if not more! more

Children's Museum 8/18/2005

The Greensboro Children’s Museum gets the highest rating from me for fun activities to do with your child in Greensboro. The fun starts the minute you walk in the door. They have a grocery store, restaurant (newly added), fire truck, police car, airplane, bubble area, indoor play area (also new), post office, TV station, Radio Station, Creative Arts area (new), dentist, Doctors office and so much more. This is not one of those places you can do in an hour. It takes at least two + hours to let your children enjoy everything. I would recommend the membership if you live in the area that way you can come and go as you please. I have definitely got my money’s worth from this membership. They do have family nights Fridays when they offer admission at a discounted rate and stay open until 8pm and they have Family Sundays again discounted rate for everyone. Monday mornings are set-aside for members only (great time to go). This really is a must if you have young children. more

Awesome 8/17/2005

The Greensboro Children's Museum has so much to offer. There are so many different exhibits for the children to visit that can teach them as well as let them have fun. They have a clock tower, food mart, bank, construction area, news station, post office, and much much more. They can learn about things in everyday life and have fun doing it! You can even hold a birthday party there, but it is a little expensive. There is sure to be something to delight the little ones with all they have to offer. more
