Greenleaf caters double BRIS 5/15/2009

The Antioxidant and Cobb salads were amazing along with the bar-b-que chicken sandwiches that Greenleaf provided for our guests. Everything came ready to go and with all of the accoutrements. Mr. Rollo's dedication to excellence and freshness comes through in every aspect of his food service. The chocolate chip cookies can only be described in one word ""DELECTABLE""! We are thrilled we slected Greenleaf to cater our event. Pros: tasty, fresh & plentiful more

Hands Down, LA's Best Salad Bar!! Please open one in Century City soon!! 3/7/2009

I love this place, and even though I don't work in the area, I get lunch or dinner from there twice a week! Either way, I'm always DRIVING there. I've tried about every parking lot/garage in the area, and can say the ""Secret to Greenleaf Parking"" is to park in the FREE garage at Saks Fifth Ave across the street. It's a quick walk over, and it's the Right Price. more

Satisfies a picky eater! 11/3/2008

I NEVER used to eat salads. There's always something in there I don't like or am allergic to. If I ate one, I made it at home and brought it to work. And THEN came Greenleaf. It's so dang good. My co-workers and I all love it, and we can walk to it (a good thing, since parking is sliiiim-pickins). I do have to say, there are a couple things that prevent me from buying every lunch here every day. One, it's just a little pricey. Salads can add up quick especially if you add a protein or something to them. I mean, $12 isn't a fortune but it definitely stops me from having it every day... I can treat myself to it maybe once a week. Two, the chicken. I'm picky about my meat- I don't like it when it has a crunch. It bothers me when restaurants don't bother to cut off the fatty weird parts of the chicken breast. Some people don't mind it, but hey, it's my review. Pros: Fresh salads and very friendly staff! Cons: A tad pricey for lettuce. more

Wow...Best Salad Place in L.A. 7/26/2008

Let me start with F***in' amazing. I have been a loyal customer of some other pretty popular chicken place for my salads since I moved to LA, and I thought that was amazing...until I tried Greenleaf the other day. I think I can only go to Greenleaf from now on. I chose to make my own salad which is pretty cool. (I only know of one other salad place in L.A. that does that and it s*cks). Order came out perfectly (slight skimping on the toppings, but not to the point where I was upset about it) in about 4-5 minutes. I watched it being made and it looked like it was checked for accuracy by a few different people. Tasted amazing, and the dressings are completely homemade. Salad was brought to me, and I was even checked on halfway through. Not the cheapest place in town, but worth every penny. Hey, its Beverly Hills and rent on Wilshire Blvd ain't exactly cheap. Long story short...phenomenal. AND! They deliver in downtown BH (Now if only they'd drive it to my house...) I work downtown and will probably go there 3-4 times per week for lunch. Pros: Awesome food, make your own salads, cool interior design, pleasant service, good-looking owner Cons: No parking more

Fresh Food, Slow Staff!!! 7/17/2008

the food is refreshing, the prices worth it but I can't stand the fact that you get jumped on by the staff upon arrival which catches you off guard and then once you order, the cooking staff is slow! Pros: fresh foods Cons: Annoying staff more

They got it goin on.....and the salads are BOMB! 7/7/2008

WoW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I haven't been here since they opened an must I say I am very impressed. They have changed some things around on the menu but thats ok by me. The have really stepped up, the lady who took my order seemed like she knew what to recommend, my salad was ready in about 8min with ( that was with a full house). I love love love the lemon grass salad, and the wine I had with my husband was perfect with our dish. I am addicted to this place. Perfect to grab a bite before shopping. Pros: High energy atmosphere, delicious salads!, friendly staff, lettuce cups yum Cons: parking. more

restaurant, vegetarian, lunch spot 6/11/2008

I was very excited to try this place--great concept. But very disappointing execution. They messed up my order (added unwanted corn, omitted the chicken entirely and failed to actually chop the thing after asking me if i wanted it chopped!). Worse than that, some of the ingredients were tired or bland--how do you make blue cheese taste bland?--and the unrequested corn tasted like canned niblets. more

Fantastic Fresh Salads 6/8/2008

I love Greenleaf. It's in a great location in Beverly Hills, and it has fantastic food and drinks. My favorite salad is the Mexplosion, which has delicious Mex-Cal ingredients and delicious grilled shrimp. You'll find that all the salads have really fresh ingredients with lots of kick. It's the perfect place for a healthy, satisfying lunch. The owner, Jonathan, is amazing and very easy on the eyes! Pros: Fresh, healthy food and friendly service Cons: Gets very busy, but that's to be expected with such good food more

Skip this CHOPSHOP! 5/20/2008

i was very excited to eat at this new chopped salad restaurant...I have only had one visit but was very disappointed. The line was very long, and once the order was taken (while in line) it took even longer to rung up up. Then once rung up, it took even longer to get the salad. The idea of watching the chefs chop your salad is great, but they should put a few more chefs in back to really get the orders moving. Now for the salad. I ordered the Kitchen Sink Cobb salad straight off the menu board to go, dressing on the side. No substitutions, etc. It was not chopped. I was expecting a chopped salad with everything itty bitty so I could have all flavors in one bite. There were 3 pieces of carrot, 4 garbanzo beans, 3 grape tomatoes cut in half, no turkey, hardly any bacon, (as i got there the chef was yelling no more bacon we are out!) and 3 strips of chicken (which was tender and moist, very yummy tasting) , but the chicken was not chopped! They put the strips on top of the ""chopped "" salad. I don't know about you, but i hate to take out my knife to cut up chicken into super small bites to fit into the chopped salad. I pay for it to be chopped , it should be chopped, all of it! I am pretty sure it was missing some ingredients as it was mostly romaine lettuce. There was no side of asparagus as posted on the menu either.. Also the inside eating area was very poorly lit...VERRRRRY disappointing. Skip this chop shop. Pros: Fresh ingredients Cons: Nothing but lettuce in the salads more

UPDATE : Delish...I would eat there everyday...if I could. 5/20/2008

I am updating my previous review (4 stars) to 5 stars! Pros: The salad was delish, the place is clean and the staff is really nice Cons: Waiting 15 mins for my salad, and the loud music more

Still needs work 5/19/2008

I've been to this place 4 times. First time, the line was out the door so i skipped it. The next time, I was the only customer so my order was correct. The third time, my order took over 20 minutes and was wrong. The 4th (and I think my last time for a while) was today and completely wrong. I normally watch them make my salad because I'm very particular about my food. The place is so new that they haven't worked out the kinks yet. The employees still don't know the ingredients to each salad. So far, I've received all my salads missing ingredients. The first time did not have tomatoes or avocados ($12 make your own). The last time they put chicken instead of shrimp on my salad and decided to toss it out and make a new one (which took another 15 mins). The correct salad had the shrimp but did not come w/eggs whites, avocado, and basil ($15 cobb). You'd think they'd at least know what ingredients go into their signature salads. They are all very nice and the ingredients are fresh and tastey but it takes too long and your order is always wrong. Such a dissappointment. The only salad shop in Beverly Hills. I hope they get it right soon! Pros: Fresh Ingredients Cons: Slow and order is always incorrect! more

Great Taste -- More Chopping/Mixing/Tossing Please! 5/14/2008

As a NYC transplant I was thrilled to learn Greenleaf Gourmet Chopshop was opening. I was a frequent customer of both Chop't and Tossed in NY. These salad shops became so popular that almost every NY deli now offers chopped/mixed salads to get a piece of the action. So, I was in withdrawal when I couldn't find anywhere in LA to get a huge chopped salad on the go. Pros: mmm tasty, decor Cons: order mix ups, olive pits, a little spendy, salad was not not chopped... not one bit more

LOVE IT!!! 5/12/2008

We've been waiting for this place to open for months! It was actually a lot nicer than I expected. Impressive imaginative menu, amazing selection of wines, and a great feeling space. Everyone in my group LOVED their salads- MEXPLOSION and COBB were the winners... The wait was around 20 minutes, but to be expected for fresh made to order food. Will be back AGAIN AND AGAIN! more

Great for a quick & healthy bite. 5/10/2008

Fantastic! I had a custom salad with a VERY large piece of seared ahi. The fish was prepared perfectly. Pricing was fair and the location is fantastic. Good for a quick bite, the line was a bit long but moved quickly. Pros: Reasonable price, healthy fresh ingredients, fantastic location. Cons: Long line, but it moves quickly. more

Editorial review from GrubHub 3/15/2008

I wanted to like this place, but after ordering two seperate times and receiving two incorrect orders, I am not a fan. One time they left off the chicken, the next time it was about 4 things. Seems like almost everytime I order from a restaurant through grubhub, there is always an issue. more
