Keep up the great work! New menu is amazing. Try the swordfish and scallops. Both are packed with great flavors and are very fresh. Great summertime dishes. Will be back to try the other dishes. more

Great Place 3/25/2010

Great atmosphere, very cozy. The lamb was amazing, and our server was great. Surely, we will dine there again. Good wine selection too Pros: Tasty food Cons: A little pricy but worth it more

Hollywood quality; better price! 10/20/2009

I have traveled and experienced many fine dining luxuries, however, Green Street Tavern is one of the most humbling experiences I have ever had. The prices were immaculate (about $15-20 per entree) and the portion size was appropriate (not a tiny tasters plate; perfect size). The service was wonderful and the atmosphere was so upscale/cozy...? I really liked it. My fiance, who is impossible to excite, actually had positive feedback and insisted I take my mother and grandmother which I will be doing this weekend. A must try. I will make this place a new add-on to my weekly outings. =) Pros: Excellent food quality and service Cons: Lacking customers more

My wife and I were looking for a new place to eat in Pasadena and came across the Green Street Tavern. The food was great and the service was exceptional. From the soup special to the divine deserts, we had an amazing time. We have found our new favorite place. :) more

Total Disappointment 6/15/2009

After reading the rave reviews, I was excited to go here to celebrate my graduation, but was sorely disappointed. They took forever getting our entrees out! We had to get up 3 separate times to ask someone to check on our food because our waiter was clearly avoiding eye contact with our table. When they finally started bringing our food out, the portions were tiny and they were delayed in serving a few of us. By the time the rest of us finally got our dishes, the others had already finished with their meals! The worst part was that they weren't even apologetic. Our waiter literally seemed to just avoid us the rest of the night. I was so embarrassed to have brought my friends & family here. We all left hungry and with a bad taste in our mouths. Won't ever go back. more

Worth it! Great service and Food. 11/29/2008

Saturday afternoon my husband and I decided to go out for a nice dinner date. We read all the reviews and decided that we had to try Green Street Tavern. I called and made a reservation. We were seated promptly at our reservation time and were greeted with huge smiles. We had the pleasure of having James serve us. He gave us a brief run down of the restaurant and even his favorite dish. We started with the Gnocchi, which was amazing. I had the Lamb Sausage with pesto risotto. It was great, so much flavor, and rich flavors. My husband took the recommendation of James and had the pork chops. He was not disappointed at all. The yams were great, and the sauce was delicious. We have never experienced service that was so warm and attentive. We definitely will be returning! The price is perfect for the service and quality of food. Pros: Service, Quality and Combination of the food Cons: Old Town parking on Saturday nights more

Best Restaurant in Pasadena/LA 3/26/2008

My girlfrineds and I celebrated my birthday at Green Street Tavern. It was one of the best dinning experiences I have had in a long time. The food was great. The service and staff were amazing. Totally love this place. I am defenitly going to be a regular. 5-Stars in all catagories. more

Great Food, Great service, Great atmosphere!!! 3/6/2008

The food is excellent! The porkchop was excellent and the candied yam and the greens that came with the dish was perfect compliments to this dish. There's nothing bad i can say about the food because everything was perfectly seasoned and cooked properly. I will definitely go back to try everything else on the menu that executive chef Mike came up with. The entire staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and the owner was very attentive and helpful. Great dining experience overall!!! I recommend everyone to try this place!!! Pros: great service, the FOOD!!!, great place for a date or casual dinner... either one.. Cons: NONE!~ more

Such a welcoming Place 3/4/2008

It was a Saturday night, I was with my wife and her parents; we had no luck finding a place to eat, so luckly we walked passed this beautiful resturant (Green Street Tavern); the place was packed, I walked in to try my luck before giving up and calling it a night. A polite well dressed gentelman approached me and greeted me with a smile. I actually told him my story, out of care, he arranged for us to sit at the bar, offered us wine, after waiting for 30-mintues they gave us a table. We spent over an hour there and had a great time. You can say they made our night. It was a ""Wow"" experience. The food was excellent. This is a special place, I am looking forward to my next visit. more

Impeccable food, service and atmosphere 2/20/2008

Magnificent!! My boyfriend and I ate at the Tavern not long after it opened, and it was wonderful! We had the blue cheese tart and the roasted beet and arugula salad to start, followed by the duo of beef and the roasted pork loin. We didn't save room for dessert, sadly, but we did enjoy their wine list (so affordable!) and will be returning soon. The atmosphere is great for a date or small group dinner, I loved the fact that it's so intimate. Great service, too. Highly recommended!! Pros: Ambience, service, food, value more

Great Experience! Highly Recommended 2/11/2008

There is something different about this place. The dishes look beautiful, the food tastes good and it is healthy. The service is amazing; there are people walking around anticipating my needs. I have been to few places that deliver such great experience, I highly recommend this place. more

THIS PLACE IS SO GREAT 2/7/2008

My husband and I tried to get into this place a month ago but they were booked...so we tried last week now I see why it was so busy and I can understand why they recommend a reservation. The food is incredible, everyone that works there is so friendly, nice wine selection. It reminds me of Europe, a really great experience. more

Best of the best 1/8/2008

I love this place. This is the best restaurant in Old Town Pasadena. This restaurant is unique with its design and delicious food. I tried the Hawaiian Pineapple Popcorn Shrimp that comes with macademia nuts and micro cilantro it was amazing. Also the taste and especially the presentation of the Blue Cheese Walnut Tart with Balsamic Figs is incredibly beautiful. The service is wonderful. The staff is friendly and always accommodating. Specialy the owner is very nice, he comes to the tables to ensure your satisfaction and to make your dinning experience is well worth it! This restaurant has delicious food and warm ambience. Great place for lunch or dinner. more

Great Food and Service 1/7/2008

After being rejected because of private parties @ JJ Steakhouse, my friend and I walked around the corner to discover this tiny restaurant tucked away from the ruckus around the corner. There's a lot of restaurant in old town Pasadena, but not many that's actually worth going. Green Street Tavern was an unexpected surprise. The place was intimate and friendly. The food was exquisite and the service was prompt. It's a plus that it's on Green street, away from the walking crowd on Colorado. The presentation and taste is what you would expect from great restaurant. If you hate chain and wait a special meal, give green tavern a try. Pros: Intimate, good food, great service Cons: Try and find one more

Beautifully delicious food! 11/23/2007

I don't live in Pasadena, but while in business, I was in the area the arquitecture and decor of the cozy restaurant grabbed my attention. After taking a look at the menu, I chose to have the prongs and their seasonal soup. I must say, I was quite impressed with their delicious food, but you should've seen the way the soup was served. It was a pumpkin soup and it was served in a cute little pumpkin. the outside of the pumpkin was seasoned with some type of butter and salt, and the plate where the soup was served was sprinkled with garlic (i believe?) roasted pumpkin seeds which were also placed on top of the soup. The soup itself was incredibly delicious, and the roasted pumpkin seeds gave it the perfect taste. It was such a delicious experience! the shimp was also very tasty and decorated in such a way that you want to eat more. The service was that of a 5 star restaurant and my tab was much lower than I've paid for a less memorable dining experience. I highly recommend Green Street Tavern; for their food, their service and their artisitic decor. It all makes it an unforgettable dining experience. But don't take my word for it, go check it out for yourself. I came for lunch and next time, I'll be there for dinner. Pros: Delicious Food. Gorgeous decor Cons: No parking, but free city parking around the corner more
