Wonderful experience! 7/19/2012

We have only had our cat for 1 year and our experience with Dr Anderson and Greatwood Veterinary Hospital was our first vet experience. I was thoroughly impressed with Dr Anderson. He took his time and explained everything to me about our diabetic cat. He continually asked if I had any questions and made sure that I understood everything. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful. We will definitely continue going to Dr Anderson and highly recommend Greatwood Veterinary Hospital to everyone! more

My Vet is Super! 11/3/2011

If I moved to Canada I would have to drive back to Greatwood to bring my best friends to Doc Andy (Anderson). I have taken my pets to him since 2002 and I know my concerns and grief are heartfelt. The best Doctor and staff. I know they love my pets. Pros: null Cons: null more

The BEST PLACE for PETS 8/24/2011

The BEST PLACE for PETS in the area *****\r I have been to many other clinics (one in this area), and Greatwood Animal Clinic is by far the best place that I have ever been. The place is clean, Dr. Anderson is very competent and knowledgeable. Their hours are very convenient, they will see patients at 6 pm, unlike the other clinic they closed at 5:30 pm. The staff was much-much nicer to me, than at the previous place. more

Thanks to Doc and Staff 8/20/2011

I don't live close to Richmond at all; I live about 180 miles away but I take my dogs to Greatwood Veterinarian Clinic everytime I pass through on my way to Huntsville. I think everything about this clinic is the best to include the staff. This is a very beautiful brand new clinic with the best of everything. I think Dr. Rodney Anderson is the best vet for me and my dogs and I am so glad I found him through a friend of mine while enroute to Huntsville. I want to thank Dr. Anderson and his staff for being there when my dogs needed you and for caring about them as they were your own dogs. more

Horrible staff - vet OK 4/19/2011

Dr. Anderson seems like a fine vet - but he takes more vacations than anyone I have ever come across. The substitute vets he uses are good but totally different in their approach to issues. That said, the office staff is dumber than a box of rocks. I also don't like that absolutely everything takes place "in the back" where you can;t see what they are doing. Not a very open place. We switched vets. more

Caring veterinarian and staff 1/8/2011

We recently began taking our dogs to Dr. Anderson after growing frustration with the vets we had been seeing for many years. We are very pleased with Dr. Anderson's competence and kindness, and also with that of Dr. Crews (sp?) whom we saw most recently. I don't understand the complaints about rude or indifferent staff, because Robin and the other staff members have been nothing but friendly, kind and professional to us and our furbabies. This is a bit out of the way for us, but the treatment our dogs have received there is worth it. more

Great groomer! Fair Staff at Desk 1/6/2011

Unlike the other review, I really liked the groomer. We have an older Bichon and she did a wonderful job with her. Prior to even bringing the dog in, I met with the groomer and asked many, many questions about her grooming methods. I was very pleased that her answers to my questions were exactly what I was wanting to hear. I was very specific in how we wanted her groomed. They took a long time with our dog because of her age so they wouldn't stress her out. I was very happy when I picked her up and will definitely take her back there.\r \r I completely agree with the other reviewers about the staff. Whether in person or on the phone, they are very curt. They act like they are bothered when it comes to helping you. They are fake friendly and it really shows through. If there is a smile, it seems forced. more

We love Dr. Anderson! 1/13/2010

I LOVE Dr. Anderson and his staff. We have lived in two states and several cities and Dr. Anderson is by far the best veterinary we have encountered. Whether we are at the office for a routine visit or for an illness he thoroughly educates us about the condition of our dog. Dr. Anderson is very patient and takes his time to answer all of our questions. He also presents balanced views on the pros and cons of treatment options. When our 13 year old dog needed to be euthanized he was so calm and empathetic. He really helped us through the difficult process. \r \r He has a new facility and it is a beautiful environment. It is a very clean and pleasant facility. more

Dr. Anderson is wonderful! 8/19/2009

There is no vet I would trust more with the care of my animals. Dr. Anderson is simply the best. My dogs love him dearly and I know he takes a very personal interest in their health. He has also taken my late night emergency calls on more than one occasion when, for example, my mischievous Cavalier King Charles Spaniels got into some stainless steel appliance cleaner. He very calmly told me exactly what to do and everything turned out fine. I highly recommend Dr. Anderson and his clinic. more

New facility soon and great veterinarian 8/13/2009

Dr. Anderson is the best! I am anxious for him to complete his new facility and move into it. This should allow him to be able to rotate between rooms and offer more services. We have used Dr. Anderson for several years and often because we have two dogs and a cat. I would recommend him without reservation. more

Well Done 8/12/2009

I loved this clinic. I live on the northwest side of town and heard about Greatwood Veterinary Hospital from a friend who liked their experience and I decided to give it a try. It was well worth the trip. The vet was very professional and treated my animals like they were his own. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I will not take my pets anywhere else. I would recommend them to anybody that asked. more

Greatwood Veterinary Hospital takes the time to make a difference 8/12/2009

Dr. Anderson and his staff are excellent! They took wonderful care of both of my cats even though they were being terrible. The service and care were great! He took the time to calm them down and give them routine shots. \r On a later date, when i needed after hours information there was someone available to answer my questions who was very polite and informative. more

Office Staff 5/1/2009

I recommend that you hire me for an office staff, i love to talk to clients, and i love animals. The vet i am with now gets mad at me because i do this so much, instead of just trying to get them in and out....But, i do have a lot of people that will call and ask for just me because of the way that i am....I guarantee if you hire me, there wont be any complaints about me!!!! more

Great Vet; Fair Staff 3/17/2009

I absolutely love Dr. Anderson. I feel that he really cares about my animals and wants their quality of life to be great. His caring attitude does not always carry-over to his staff. At times, they seem to be more interested in talking among themselves rather than doing their jobs. He also seems to have a rather high turnover so you are always having to explain who you are and who your animals are.\r \r Dr. Anderson always takes the time to explain what is going on with your animals and takes the time to answer any questions you have. I wish he could make his staff understand that however great he is, people will stop bring their animals to their clinic if they are rude. more

My wife and I have used Greatwood Veterinary Clinic for many years and would recommend the clinic to anyone interested in obtaining first-rate care for their pet. Dr. Anderson and his staff are always friendly and courteous and go out of their way to make sure our pets needs are met.\r If you are looking for the best care for your pet you cannot find a better clinic in our opinion. more

Wouldn't go anywhere else! 3/2/2009

I have been taking my dog to Dr. Anderson since I got her as a puppy in 2001. I/my dog have never received anything other than professional, courteous and affordable treatment and care. I did live closer to the clinic when I first got my dog, but have since moved to Katy. I tried a vet near my home simply for convenience reasons, but after one visit to another vet I knew I would be going back to Greatwood Vet. You can't beat the friendly atmosphere and personal touch that Dr. Anderson and his staff provide. more

Best Vet! 3/2/2009

My husband and I moved here from Colorado. We decided to try out Greatwood Veterinary initially mostly because of convenience.\r Our dog had skin problems (due to climate changes) which were cleared up the next year. For over 5 years, we've had the best and most consistent care. Everyone is very friendly and gives more personalized attention. Appointments are easy and convenient and treatments are very affordable (especially compared to Colorado). I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone trying to find a new vet. more

Professional & Affordable 3/1/2009

We have taken our pets to Greatwood to see Dr. Anderson for over 8 years. His office is always professional and courteous to us. A few years ago, our dog had an emergency and he went above and beyond to help us out. Last I was there I noticed they were working on the lot. He informed me that they were building a larger upscale facility to accommodate his growing business. I will be excited to see what it looks like as it sounds great from what he described. more
